R	R van Z. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We zouden eigenlijk maar één dag blijven, maar het werden er drie. Superstille en oogstrelende plek in een kleine vallei met een beekje. We hebben onze tenten opgezet vlak bij het beekje en het kabbelend geluid was voor mij perfect om bij in slaap te vallen. Lidawij en Jolijn hebben een bijzonder en knus plekje gecreëerd voor de tourende toerist. De bibliotheek(!) / bar / loungehoek, de vele knusse plekjes waar je kan zitten, de karaktervolle honden, de kamertjes, de tiny house in aanbouw, het ademt sfeer en gezelligheid uit. De zandweg ernaar toe was een avontuur en het eten fantastisch. De wijn zit in de prijs van het eten en vloeit rijkelijk. What not to like? Nou, we kregen van Lidawij het gevoel dat we een beetje in de weg liepen. Onder haar professionele gastvrijheid zat een beetje nukkigheid. Maar goed, Jolijn maakte dat weer helemaal goed met haar benaderbaarheid, de kookkunsten van Lidawij zijn geweldig en de twee vrijwilligsters, Celine en Kirsten, waren heerlijk enthousiast en we hebben een avond gezellig gegeten, gedronken en geklets met hen en gasten die vanuit heel de regio speciaal naar deze plek komen. Aanrader!8 We were supposed to stay only one day, but it turned out to be three. Super quiet and aesthetically pleasing place in a small valley with a stream. We set up our tents near the stream and the rippling sound was perfect for me to fall asleep to. Lidawij and Jolijn have created a special and cozy place for the touring tourist. The library (!) / Bar / lounge area, the many cozy places where you can sit, the characterful dogs, the rooms, the tiny house under construction, it exudes atmosphere and cosiness. The dirt road to it was an adventure and the food fantastic. The wine is included in the price of the food and flows freely. What not to like? Well, Lidawij gave us the feeling that we were getting in the way a bit. Underneath her professional hospitality was a bit of nastiness. Anyway, Jolijn made up for it again with her approachability, Lidawij's cooking skills are great and the two volunteers, Celine and Kirsten, were delightfully enthusiastic and we had dinner, drinks and chatting with them and guests from all over the world. region specially come to this place. As anfitriãs são super simpáticas muito atentas e oferecem uma estadia que vale a pena experimentar. Quinta da Fonte is a unique place where we can enjoy the calm and serenity that nature offers. The hostesses are super friendly, very attentive and offer a stay worth experiencing.

I needed to go somewhere and concentrate on a project that had to finished (writing) and I needed something in the middle of nowhere, good food, and not too expensive. I found this on trip advisor and it ticked every box I have. But you know, this was more than I could have wished for. The food was extraordinary with a price to include beer and wine (ha ha), the cottage I stayed in was delightful, but that area, the valley, was basically inspirational and gentle as only mother nature can be. I can say that I finished by project, I ate the most amazing food, and I was well under my budget. Lovely, lovely place.
