★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place to enjoy the "slow living". Quinta do Pousadela made me feel connected to the land, to the air, to the water, to the mother nature. Rita is the owner of this cozy place, she attends guests personally. Such a lovely person who will help you with anything you need.
Very recommended to explore the area, there are some good spots where take a nice jump into the river Olo. Also, the area is full of routes into the forest. Amarante city is just 15 minutes far away by car. I loved this place!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quiet peaceful old winery village amidst lush green surroundings with a pool overlooking the vineyard and mountains. Friendly staff, also helpful with booking a restaurant in Amarante, wine tasting or canyoning. I would advice to check beforehand if the restaurant is open, if still closed due to COVID, then consider booking a room with kitchenette/an apartment because otherwise for both lunch and dinner you have to go to Amarante which is a 15 min car ride (there isn’t really any restaurant closer and no snacks etc. available at the Quinta). Good price/quality. Just a few small things that would really make a difference: it would be nice to get some information on the quinta, it’s history and the current vineyard and wines it produces, either at check-in or in the room, and some more information on the two hikes around the estate (e.g. a map or improvement of the signs, they were not really clear). Lastly, it would be nice to get some coffee and tea in the room instead of only during breakfast, as the kettle ad coffee machine are already there anyway..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a fantastic stay. Beautiful location with amazing views from the pool. Really nice hosts who made us feel very much at home. The country has only just opened up following the pandemic so the whole area was lovely and quiet.
