Very good location, the place is great with a swimming pool opened h24. Hosts are friebdly and rooms are nice. Be careful though while arriving, the GPS sometimes does not know the new road.

I was sleeping in a room upstairs, it was clean and the breakfast was good, but the A.C made wierd smalls, the host was rude and the bed was uncomfortable. It's in the middle of no where and the GPS couldn't take me there and a simple ride to the town nearby took atlist half an hour.

No words to describe this amazing place and location!

Amazing place. Super friendly staff. Totally recommend. I am not giving a 5 star just because I think they should do a better job cooking dinner and they should have a real chef in house. The region and great restaurant quality nearby demands that. It's not a bad meal, don't get me wrong, but there is room for improvement. Still, one of the best places I have been in Douro region.

Wonderful stay! Fantastic views of Douro river. We had a guest house, Casa do Alpendre and it was great. Very helpful staff, breakfast was brought to our house and was delicious! Talking about the food, we had dinner there one night and it was great! From appetizers, main dish and desserts, all was delicious! My kids loved the swimming pool!

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PROPERTY. Very bad. We have a dog and after 7 days in Portugal we wanted to enjoy the Spa. By clicking on pet friendly, he gave us the option to choose a room, two nights € 140 and upon arriving there at 8:00 in the afternoon they indicated that the dog cannot enter the rooms in case it bothers the rest of the guests and that is indicated on the web. That they are only allowed in the apartments and that if we want to stay they are € 200. Of course we do not agree and they tell us to talk to Booking that this confusion has already happened several times. Hours pass between calls and contacts, we are in the mountains, in the middle of the night, with fog and what they want is to know if we are going to stay. It seems to me a very inelegant way of wanting to trick us into staying in the apartment and between the booking filter not working well and the property says that it is the fault of booking THE CLIENTS HAVE STAYED ON THE STREET, WITHOUT A STAY, WITHOUT THE MONEY AND DECEIVED. On the other hand, being told that the dog cannot enter the room in case it bothers is quite ironic when upon arrival we have seen pigs, cats, parrots and even a small deer. We are not rich and we do not have money so at least I hope you spend the € 140 on feeding the animals and do not celebrate that you have earned money without doing anything because that would be called cheating on your neighbor, very ironic also by having the house full of virgins and saints.

Really great. Fantastic staff, super owner. Room was as expected. Facilities include a pool with amazing view over Douro river, spa (great massage), game's room. Quiet enough to rest and to have family enjoying nature contact. I will get back.
