L	Lisa Brull on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If a small, luxury boutique hotel married a warm, inviting country inn, and they had 5 quintas (or children, in another analogy), it would be (and is) the Quinta do Bom Vento. It is impossible to describe Quinta do Bom Vento without sounding like a travel brochure full of superlatives. But even that does not come close to capturing the experience of staying there. A brochure cannot articulate the feeling of satisfied perfection one feels there. The sense of peacefulness, and satiety. I think it is a combination of the warmth & helpfulness of the owners, the food and treats that await your arrival, the aesthetic: the detailed perfection of each quinta & the magnificence of surrounding landscape, that goes so far beyond words. I arrived to QBV in a tense state of mind. I left, only 5 days later, feeling rejuvenated, refreshed, and calm. I mean sincerely that no review will do QBV justice; it simply must be experienced to be understood.

Sam and Rich are expert in all things hospitality and their talents sparkled in welcoming us for our honeymoon. From the first contact via email to our final send off (Thanks for the delicious homemade ice cream!) and everything in between, our experience with them was fantastic. We stayed for 6 days in the Mediterranean suite and wished we could have stayed longer. The suite was spotless, neatly decorated, fully equipped for cooking (grill included!) private but not isolated and was perfect for a quiet country getaway. We highly recommend a stay with Sam and Rich at Quinta do Bom Vento and can't wait to return to stay with them again.
J	John cole on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is our second visit to Bom Vento and it certainly won't be our last. Sam and Rich are the most welcoming of hosts. They are happy to give information regarding the local areas to visit and suggested some fantastic places to visit. The accommodation is the most well stocked holiday accommodation I have experienced. The fridge is groaning with fresh food, beers, wine on arrival. As well as different choices of wine in a wine rack. Sam regularly brings fresh portugese tarts, bread, salami bread and home grown tomatoes in a morning. The accommodation is superb. It is immaculate. The bed was extremely comfortable with beautifully laundered bed linen. My wife had a lovely head to toe massage by a lovely young lady called Grace arranged by Sam. The surrounding land/valley are great for exploring. You can even help yourself to fruit in surrounding orchards. On the day before we left Sam baked beautiful scones and we joined them for coffee /scones & chat. Both Sam and Rich have a wealth of knowledge of the local area and beyond which proved really helpful. They certainly go above and beyond providing just accommodation. It deserves 5 stars and my wife and I would not hesitate in recommending Quinta Do Bom Vento. We certainly will be returning and look forward to it.

M	Maia Frazier on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ QBV is such a wonderful piece of paradise! The hosts, Rich and Sam, and their energetic doggos, Scrabble and Bingo, are an absolute joy to be around. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt safe during the entire lockdown and we were exceptionally well taken care of throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the outdoor courtyard (which allows guests to connect with each other while remaining socially distant), as well as the smartly-designed individual outdoor spaces that allow anyone staying here to enjoy private time in the sunshine by their own apartment. All the interiors at QBV are beautifully decorated and we loved cuddling up by the pellet fireplace in the evenings and cooking up a storm in The Mediterranean's well-equipped kitchen. The property is also stunning with fruit trees, lawns, and even its very own wild forest. We can't wait to come back & would highly recommend QBV to anyone looking for a special treat!

They were also well prepared and had all possible safety measures in place for the covid-19 pandemic. The meditaraneon is beautifully renovated and decorated, offers a lot of privacy and has a stunning view. The property leads into a valley that's great for hiking and being in nature. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing home away from home! 6 out of 5 stars!

We were travelling around Spain and Portugal and specifically made a detour to visit Rich and Sam again. Fortunately for us there was a gap in their bookings and we were able to stay for six nights. Our welcome could not have been better. The apartment clean with more than the usual welcome package and even a complimentary trip to the bakers for bread and pastries. This was again a memorable part of our trip.

The suites are clean, spacious and thoughtfully appointed with anything you could need. The owners are fantastic hosts, as they are so friendly, welcoming and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
