Its a very beautifull place with river pools near the camping, but what I trully loved was the silence of the night, when you can see a sky full of stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner of the Quinta is a really great guy and made and incredible work. The bathrooms are super clean, always with paper and has hot water if needed. It has a really good pool and a great view to the village. I recommend everyone who wants to relax and have a good time to come to Quinta do Castanheiro!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An amazing and super relax campsite on a beautiful spot. Everything you require for a couple of nights camping; a peaceful and quiet surrounding (hardly any barking dogs - which is pretty uncommon in Portugal these days), clean toilet and shower facilities, an owner who acts as a great local information source and serves a cold beer (including alcohol free beers) after a warm day. I would definitely recommend walking in the neighbourhood of Coentral and visit the Ribiera waterfalls.

I've been 3 nights with my 1year old baby twins and it was a great experience for all the family.
The infrastructures are great and are being upgraded all the time because the owner is a construction expert.
Definitely a nice place to visit.
