Great restaurant wonderful views delicious authentic local food. Prices had a very reasonable and the service is of a very high standard. We feel very lucky to have stumbled across this place by accident.

Good food and good view, but took an hour to sit, and 30 minutes more to order..

Only stayed for a night and the accommodations are good considering the price/quality ratio. The surroundings are beautiful, lots of green space and calm environment. The pool area is weak: large pool but too cold and the grass is thick and uncomfortable. The dinner was good and so was the breakfast. The Hotel has a dog “Paço” that walks around the outside area and it’s lovely and doesn’t bother anyone. The cutest thing! (but I’m biased as I love animals).

An excellent hotel, very beautiful and comfortables rooms. The meal is wonderful: breakfast, lunch or dinner They had tennis and a big car park.

Stayed here during a Motorbike Trip across Portugal. For better or worse, it felt very much like visiting distant relatives than booking into a hotel. Rooms were adequate and clean, but could use some renovation. Personally, I'd prefer a floor level shower over a bathtub (especially if the bath doesn't have any natural light). Coming back to my introductory statement, it felt like getting the spare room in your grandparent's house. Breakfast was interesting, in that there didn't seem to be anyone around until about 9am, even though it supposedly is available after 7:30am. Felt like a relative preparing Breakfast before leaving for work, expecting that you'd figure it out on your own. I was a bit sad because they have tasty coffee, but in the morning there's only a self-serving machine which made very foamy instant-coffee, and with no one around to order something else, that's what we drank. By the time I saw an employee, we had to get along with our daily travels. (And I didn't really feel like going out of my way to find someone, either. If no one reacts to a loud bom dia / good morning, then there is probably no one there) Dinner again seems to start about an hour after it states on the information. But the kitchen was quick and the food delicious. Even dishes you'd think would be simple and plain were flavourful and lovely arranged. We definitely encountered a language barrier with the waiters. But as they were patient, understanding and interested in working with us, I'd again found it weirdly connecting on a personal level. All in all, I felt that the staff was experienced and understood our wishes, even if we couldn't really explain what we wanted due to missing vocabulary on both sides. The wines and Port that were selected for us matched our expectations in quality and price, came from local producers, and were asked to be tasted (you don't see that often any more. Pleasant surprise!). To summarize, it was a pleasant stay that is easy to recommend if you like relaxed familial atmosphere and do not need to be at the Hotel for most of the Day.
