★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a place for allergy sufferers. Booked and at time of booking was asked if there were any allergies in the group, to which I responded "Yes, I suffer from an acute peanut allergy", at which point I was reassured that no peanut or peanut derivative would be in the menu.
So, we arrive and whilst tucking into the starter was approached by manager/owner who said that she just remembered that there were small amounts of peanut in one of the dips I had been eating.
Several expletives later and a stunned look after I had been told that they were all organic and she was sure I would be OK. So we left and went to eat at an amazing fish restaurant instead (called Xitaka and was superb incidentally).
Thankfully I had only had a minuscule amount of the dip that contained the peanuts and the amount in the dip itself was quite small, so spent the next few hours with a somewhat blotchy face and swollen throat, but no death which was a bonus.
If you go to this place and you have any allergies, be extra careful and second guess everything.
