★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here a few times now.had a roast dinner here yesterday which was very good .book in advance is recommended . great view from the sun terrace . nothing to much trouble the owner is very helpful and friendly true yorkshire man. Great to watch sports. Free WiFi .
Only 1 niggle when your sat on the sun terrace there's constant loud music from the surfing machine across the road but that's nothing to do with the red lion .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good British meals, manager lots of fun and very friendly. Best place for gluten free food, which is always hard to find every time we go abroad. Children age 11 and 16 also enjoyed it and always asking to go back. Would recommend this place. Brian, Emma,Sam and Charlie. Billinge, Wigan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hubby & I went there as wanted a Sunday roast. We visited and had to book a table for later. Owners very helpful & friendly. I had the beef & Hubby had mixed Sunday roast, lamb, chicken, beef & pork, which accompanied with roast potatoes, mash, Yorkshire pudding, 3 different vegetables & lots of gravy. It was excellent, struggled to eat it all. Would highly recommend if visiting this area and good value for the money. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tucked away, friendly staff and welcoming of large groups. Serves breakfast/snacks, reasonably priced drinks (inc. familiar UK drinks). There's covered areas outside and sport is shown on screens inside and 1x out.
