★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently visited Alvor and decided to take a bike tour and thankfully picked the perfect bike tours. from walking into the shop the owners Thomas and Katja couldn't of been more helpful. it was clear to see that their passion is cycling and making sure their customers enjoy their experience. the bikes are brilliant and very well maintained and gear shifting is spot on. The tour itself was absolutely brilliant, I have been to Majorca a few times and this is by far the better place to cycle. the roads are so quiet when climbing the Monchique its great to hear the nature and no cars.
Thomas gave some knowledge of the area and agriculture during a couple of key photo stops, which I found interesting and a change to flying down the hills. I found the tour to be well organised and catered for all abilities in the group.
Thanks Thomas and Katja for a great experience.

They took our call on a Sunday, when they are supposed to be closed, and set everything up for us so we can arrive and depart as soon as possible. The bikes were already set up to our height and they have great bicycles. When we arrive just minor change, so the bike is set to your ideal set-up!
On the website you’ll find several tours which they can send in advance in .gpx. We did the Baragem one and it was beautiful.
They are super friendly, focus on customer service and just very helpful. I would advice any bike lover to go here

They where very friendly and professional helping me out with a quality carbon road bike. Lovely shop and the bike was very well serviced by Thomas, he takes his job very serious so you will be save on your journey.
Katja helped me out with some routes, i got a link so i could download the routes to my wahoo device. Routes where amazing!! Perfect roads and very quiet.
Thanks you Thomas and Katje i made 3 amazing rides and saw the beautiful back country of the Algarve, so much more to explore...
Next time i would definitely rent bikes again from you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another fabulous few days cycling in the hills to the north and west of Alvor in the Algarve. This is the third time I have hired from SunBike Tours and I'm lucky to have such a high-end rental option so near to our accommodation. There is a great range of bikes and equipment on offer and Katja and Thomas ensure the bikes are in perfect working order before taking them away giving you the confidence to ride long distances in the quiet and beautiful hills away from the coast (essential when cycling solo !). Whilst this region is not on the cyclists radar in the same way Majorca, Calpe etc are, the area is beautiful to cycle around with, in general, very good quality tarmac, little traffic, regular cafe options and some stunning views. I did some longer 100+ mile rides this time with very varied scenery but there are also many shorter options and Katja can provide gpx routes for all preferences that take you on the best routes (make sure you look at these as I changed my plans for their recommendations and wasn't disappointed !). Reserving, collecting and returning my bike was all simple and straightforward and they are both very welcoming and genuinely keen for you to have a great experience. Highly recommended.

The road bike tours are incredibly varied, have excellent quality roads and the views are spectacular. Our guide Steven did a fantastic job at keeping everyone safe and happy. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a lot of fun just cycling around the Alvor area on superb e-bikes hired from Katja & Thomas. They were so friendly and helpful - I would highly recommend them. Although we had not done anything like this before, we will definitely be doing it again. They give a lot of care and attention to every detail, and lots of really helpful, easy-to-use information which enabled us to easily visit beautiful locations like the Boardwalk and Portimao harbour which made our day fantastic! The prices are very reasonable and the bikes are perfect. Already looking forward to my next ride.
