My friend and I rented a scooter (top condition) for a one-day trip to Lisbon and can only recommend Rent a moto :-)! Everything went smoothly and enough time was taken for us. The Rent a moto staff is super nice and Pedro even gave us tips for our sightseeing tour. We were super satisfied and would like to come back to you :-)!

Worst rental service I have experienced. After submitting and signaling a reservation through the website and receiving confirmation from Rent-a-Moto, 3 months before the date given. Upon arriving at the pickup site the store was closed. After several attempts to contact Rent-a-Moto there, they came to me. They only showed indifference and did not give me the bike, even explaining that there were already hotel reservations that depended on this rental.

Great service. I rented a motorcycle for 2 days. The prices are good and the bikes are always rented out in good state. In fact, when I reserved a bike they called me the day before to tell me the clutch wasn't working properly and they asked if it were possible to rent another motorcycle. To me, this shows professionalism instead of surprising you when you arrive with something else than the reservation. The service is also very friendly and quick to respond. All in all, I would recommend rent a moto to anyone.

I rented a bike for a 10 day trip through Portugal and Spain. The pick up went smoothly and the motorcycle was nearly new (although I did not request a new bike). It did not however come with panniers or luggage of any kind. I brought my own motorcycle-specific dry-bag to use and the owner of the company, Pedro, saw me attach it to the bike knowing full well I would ride that way for 10 days. Unfortunately the weather was quite wet and near the end of the trip I noticed that grit thrown up onto my bag had caused some paint to be worn off the rear grab-rails. Upon returning the bike in otherwise perfect condition, I pointed out the worn paint to the owner. He told me I would be responsible for the cost of repainting the parts - which he then estimated to be 78 Euros. I proceeded to argue that this was ridiculous and he had not provided panniers with the bike or protested the attachment of my own bag. I had gone on a 2,100 km ride and some wear was to be expected in my opinion. He flatly refused to waive or even reduce the paint cost and even threatened to call the police at one point during our argument. Eventually I felt I had no other choice and paid the exorbitant amount. If I hadn’t he would have held the 1,800 Euro deposit I had put down. In addition to the paint issue was the fact that I returned the bike more than a day early due to weather and any sort of refund was refused. I realize he was under no obligation to do anything for me but even a partial refund would have been a display of good customer service. For those that may think I am in the wrong and my expectations are unrealistic, I will point to my riding partner who chose to rent from a different shop in Lisbon - LX Rent. He also returned his bike a day early with minor wear showing (light scratches on the tank). The difference was LX Rent FULLY refunded him the last day’s rental amount and did not charge him for the wear on the tank. They seem to understand that it is a rental bike used for traveling and not for show n’ shines. One other key difference between the two shops: Rent-a-Moto charges the deposit amount directly to your credit card while LX Rent only puts a "hold" on the card. This means if you're coming from outside the EU, as I was, you'll incur an additional 2.5% or more currency conversion fee on the deposit amount from your credit card company - in my case almost $100. Take from this story what you will, but I hope you’ll consider my difficulties when deciding which shop to rent from in the Lisbon area.

Great bikes and great service! First we rented Kawasaki and second time we tried out Bellini. Both times it was absolutely worth it, bikes were in perfect condition and the prices were reasonable. Just ask for Pedro when you are there. He is very friendly, helpful, always offers different options so that you can choose and gives lots of insights of the best places to visit and the best roads to take, speaks perfect English! Motorbike is a must do around Lisbon to check out beautiful sea views or just explore the city. Totally recommend!

A fantastic rental experience, the best place to rent a motorcycle in Lisbon! The process was quick and simple. Pedro didn't try to upsell or pressure anything, he's someone who loves motorcycles and loves to share his passion with others. I'll definitely be back. Thanks a ton Pedro, e até a próxima!

A few questionmarks with this one... We rented a bike... Let's start with the good stuff: very friendly reception by Rui, a great bike in good condition (Vstrom) and absolutely fair prices. But returning the bike was a nitemare. Very distrustful reception by Jorge, he was objecting to some old scratches on the bike (which had been properly registered and photographed by Rui when we took over the bike). We then had to wait for his colleagues to call him back for quite some time. Now, funny enough, if you scroll down a few reviews from here - you will find a review from a very angry customer (Ryan Wayne) who was charged for the very same scratches!!!). Also, when you rent a bike here, you have to leave a deposit of EUR 2500,- (no kidding!). This deposit was still not returned to the bank account (we are still waiting ((the next day)).
