★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were looking for something different to eat than the standard dishes and we have really found it here. The chalkboard in front said it would be creative and they didn't break that promise.
The food was better than expected. I ordered the porc and butternut squash. it was beautifully presented, well cooked and the flavours really complimented each other.
Loved it.

I'm lactose intolerant and don't like fish, so it usually is hard to find something to eat that I would actually enjoy as well. The friendly waitress was so kind to check with the chef if I could have the 'Grilled chicken supreme' dish, which I could and ordered. It looked exquisite and it tasted like something you would eat in a five star restaurant, only A Lota serves full plates and leaves you wishing for more if you weren't full. The flavours were so well balanced and refined and the variety in the way the fresh ingredients were prepared made me have a complete foodgasm.
It said on the blackboard the restaurant serves 'creative cuisine' and it absolutely does. Chapeau to the staff for this wonderful experience.

It was inexpensive and certainly one of the best meals of my life (and be aware that I am Portuguese)! Lunch menu with starter, main course and 1 drink included. The menu is small which ensures that everything is cooked to perfection, super tasty and all ingredients are fresh.. super friendly, polite and efficient staff, brilliant chef!! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We had sea bass fillet with mussels, potatoes and Algarvian salad.. simply devine!! I will definitely return to this restaurant, and you should visit them too ?
