Fui jantar com um amigo, em noite coincidente com a semifinal do festival da Eurovisão, e estava tudo a correr bem até meio da refeição, quando o gerente comentou com os seus amigos (clientes) o seguinte: "eu não sou racista, mas acho mal haver tanta música de preto no festival da Eurovisão em Portugal!". Este comentário seria mau em qualquer circunstância, contudo teve a agravante de ter um indivíduo negro (eu) ali à frente dele enquanto o proferia, e continuou a reforçar o seu ponto de vista quando confrontando com o silêncio e falta de apoio dos seus amigos (eventualmente conscientes do mau timing para aqueles comentários). Mas no final, não há racismo em Portugal. RACIST DONOR. I was having dinner with a friend in the evening coinciding with the semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, and everything was going well until the middle of the meal, when the manager commented with his friends: "I'm not a racist but I think there is hardly ever so much black music at the Eurovision festival in Portugal! " This remark would be bad in any circumstance, yet it had the aggravation of having a black individual (I) standing there in front of him as he spoke, and continued to reinforce his point of view when confronted with the silence and lack of support of his friends eventually aware of the bad timing for those reviews). But in the end, there is no racism in Portugal.
