I stumbled across this place by accident and saw that it was rapidly filling up with locals. The restaurant is in an area behind the bus station waiting area, but some effort has been made to make it feel cosy and comfortable. I felt like I was eating in someone’s home. The host made me feel welcome and did his best to explain the menu to me in English. He proudly told me how his wife makes the food. The food was tasty and fresh, with quality ingredients and a generous serving. It was also cheap.

We were told about this restaurant and can truly say it was well worth the visit. The food was very fresh and tasty. Our host did his best to explain the dishes and even brought out the fish to show us which fish we would be eating. Will definitely highly recommend this restaurant.

Oh my, this place was a true gem. The food and service was top notch. The owner (?) took amazing care of us, recommending our whole meal. From appetizers (clams and crab), to wine, to serving us a whole sea bass table side. And finishing with a traditional portugues dessert. The most delicious food! Obrigada!

We had a very good sea bass with vegetables. We were served in a really personal and friendly manner and had a feeling more like being private guests than in a restaurant. Homemade Portuguese dessert was really fantastic!

We saw this place on Maps! And we decided to go for a walk as the place that was recommended to us by our hostel host was closed. Were we ever glad we did! The owner(?) speaks English. He recommended us a white wine which was incredibly good, very drinkable. He also recommended the sea bass, which was fresh, grilled to perfection. He also disassembled it for us. The vegetables were cooked beautifully. Enormous fluffy potatoes, sweet carrots, tender cabbage. The dessert was indescribably good. Anything made by the owner's wife is a go. We started with the mousse, and then got the cheesecake. No regrets!

not the most obvious location! at the bus station and not exactly picturesque, but worth finding. the menu has less expensive options and then goes up to pretty expensive ( for Portugal anyway) nonetheless we succumbed to dish of the day, a huge sea bass. it was worth it. even at 38 euros for 2 of us! it would have fed 3 or 4. beautifully cooked. we'r had wine recommended by the owner at 9 euros a bottle. house dessert and coffee. be aware the cover charges for bread, butter and pate. 3.50 euros if you want it all. again a common thing in Portugal very attentive and friendly service, good English spoken. nice and clean. I would go again (and probably try the cheaper menu options!)

Best Bifana in Braga, still worse than the Porto Bifanas, but here you won't find anything closer to bifanas from Porto
