★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was excellent. I had the sea bass with roasted potatoes, kale, and tomato. The fish was flavored simply but excellently. If I had any feedback, I would have liked more vegetables, about triple the amount, and maybe a smaller fish. The proportions were off, and there was a bit too much olive oil on top, making it look greasy.
Unfortunately they lose a star because of a somewhat duplicitous policy, perhaps towards tourists specifically. The bread costs one euro, which I saw in the menu. They brought it without my consent (I never ordered bread), but I figured one euro isn’t a big deal. They charged 2.75 euros for the bread they brought out, completely without my consent. What would ordinarily be free ended up costing $3. So when you go here, just refuse what they bring out without your consent. Overall the meal was 14 euros, not bad for the value, but I just wish they had been more honest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been there while our Porto trip on a Monday evening. Not only that the service has been really charming, also the served food has been delicious. Wine has been awesome and we went home with a smile on our faces. We‘ll
come again! :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walked in on quiet Monday lunch hour. Ordered green cabbage soup and at recommendation of the waiter, the hake rice. Both were extremely salty and I could barely finish about a third of each. The hake fish also had a horrible aftertaste like it had gone off. This place does not justify its 4.5 star rating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Magnificent meal and experience!
After 15+ hours of flying we had finally arrived in Porto in the need of a warm cozy place to have meal made by a chef who LOVED to cook.
It was a Friday night and we did not have a reservation. The owner must have read into the looks on our face and offered us a small table in the corner of the small restaurant. He took care of us himself all the while turning out dish after dish of beautiful food each with lovely aromas. AMAZING!
My husband ordered the Shrimp Curry the shrimp were huge and plump. My husband said the curry sauce was different than any other but definitely the best he had ever had. I had the Black Pork with the lentil and sausage side with greens it was beyond belief. We plan on returning tonight for Sunday dinner.
This restaurant is off the beaten path but when in Porto you MUST go!
