We arrived here purely by accident but the patron welcomed us like treasured customers. He showed an amazing pride in his cuisine and took pains to explain the significance of each dish and how it should be approached. He was also amazingly knowledgeable and generous with the wines that accompanied the food. We left feeling humbled and with even more respect for Portuguese cuisine and Portuguese hospitality.
