★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had been here years ago and absolutely loved the famous dessert. Recently I went there again and was not as impressed with the new version. Also, the host was very friendly, but led us to believe the portions were huge, when it turned out they were only slightly above average. We were a large group and would have ordered more food if we had known this. Overall, an okay experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oh my goodness... Honestly, this place was SO good. My friend and I had a platter of thin steaks perfectly cooked, SO tender... Like when I say a platter... About 12 steaks the size of your hand and 3/8" thick. I haven't eaten that much meat in 2 months combined lol. With an entire pineapple sliced length wise as garnish. Smashed Potatoes (batatas a mouro) with FRESH garlic and olive oil. A killer salad. Thick cut chips.
I did not believe the quality of food nor the quantity! It didn't even dawn on me to take pictures other than the front of the restaurant.
If you like food and are hungry, this is THE place to go

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Real Portuguese experience. Very nice waiter/host with great sugestions. Dessert was a mix of fruit and egg tart with almonds. We were 3 people and had an average of 15€/person. We have someone in a weelchair with us and access was great. Parking is available for free. It was perfect for the end of our day touring Guimarães.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enjoyed beautiful platters of grilled fish, veg and potatoes and a simple dressed salad of lettuce, tomato and onions. Rudrigo, the host, is a wonderful character and has many interesting stores to tell between courses. Pictured are the grilled sea bass (Robalo) and the squid (Lula). Huge portions so order with care!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ modest place but that is just the place not the food, the food is tasty and just seasoned perfect the place offers a great selection of meat dishes and but the of course the desert. that is the main attraction the desert is HUGE like my forearm huge skip the meal get the desert it will not dissapoint... took us 30m 4 people just to eat it all posted some pictures for proof damn the desert is HUGE!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you like to eat freshly grilled meat in large quantities for little money, this is your place. We ordered 1/2 dose of picanha and 1/2 of the black pork and of course could not finish either... house wine is amazing, huge selection of deserts, lovingly decorated with fresh, seasonal fruit. all for 20€/person.
The demeanour of the patron takes some getting used to, but he probably means well...
