★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are walking the Camino from Porto to SDC. Today our walk into Barcelos wasn't our best - we were tired, sore and a little frustrated. Restaurante Galliano was recommended by our hotel - what a super place. The service is excellent, the food brilliant and the wine is interesting and well-curated. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Six of us had a magical evening in this restaurant. The food was amazing, huge portions, the staff friendly and professional and the atmosphere is relaxed and stylish, with a patio garden that was a pleasure to look at while eating. Would definitely recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2, 3 years ago this was an excellent restaurant. Now it is not. Service is mediocre, no trained waiter when we attended. This would be okay in a €5 a head cafe, not in a €20 a head restaurant. Food is very average. The salad I had was rough and totally unappetizing. My wife's risotto was poor and under cooked. Asked for large cold water, got small warm water. Just has the air of not caring, or being unable to care. Whatever. Never again. Way to ruin a nice place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely huge portions for one person! Had a grilled octopus with a local wine (vinho verde Alvarinho) and it was amazing! Very professional and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food and very helpful and attentive staff. I had the fish soup, followed by the baccalao which was very nice (and filling so I did not have desert, but a glass of 10 yo tawny port to finish).
