Without great expectations, we were amazed with the quality of the Leitão in this restaurant and with the service/friendliness of the owners. Desserts are delicious with the bowls standing out. We already have a restaurant to eat Leitão in Coimbra.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Français :la vraie cantine portugaise dans laquelle vous n avez pas le choix dans le repas mais qui est une grosse tuerie, génial super bon, super gentil, imbattable même si si reclu du centre ville
French: the real Portuguese canteen in which you have no choice in the meal but which is a big slaughter, brilliant super good, super nice, unbeatable even if withdrawn from the city center

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Trattoria semplice e informale.
Simple and informal trattoria. Tasty appetizer of cheese and olives served ex officio in the Portuguese style, therefore paid only if consumed. Try the Maialino (top dish on the menu) accompanied by potato pancakes and mixed salad. Excellent value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome family owned place!!! None of the fancy pancy stuff. It is all about the suckling pig. If you like ? this is the place for you. Roasted to perfection right next door to the dinning room. Deserts are pretty good to!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a family owned restaurant with over 50 years of history. It's tricky to stumble upon it, since it's inserted between a street full of what it seems like abandoned buildings and the Villa Galle hotel. Chances are that if you're not looking for it, you won't find it; and you should definitely look for it. The suckling pig (leitão) is delicious, we had the chance to see one inside the furnace being made and afterwards enjoy it in a welcoming space, which created a wonderful dining experience. The staff, the family who owns the space, is friendly and very competent. The food is great and the price is very inviting. For three people, with house wine and soft drinks, basic entries (bread, butter, olives), leitão with chips and salad, we paid around 45 euros. They also have a variety of traditional desserts, but we were too stuffed to eat any of them. The food is simple and tasty. We will be coming back for more!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Family owned, the owners are very kind to us, pigs are good but in room tempture ( guess because its 0830 pm). Pigs and Bagalau taste extremly good . Its quite a hiddem gem and you need some time to locate where it is. Follow the piggie sign from the start of the street and you will find where it is.
