De passagem por Matosinhos, descobri este cantinho ao fim do terceiro dia.
A comida é tipo caseira, andei atrás das sardinhas que são a minha perdição e aqui, encontrei as boas e a discrição!!
O funcionário foi muito atento, e simpático.
Se soubesse, que existia este local, tinha vindo mais cedo e todos os dias!!
 I recommend this restaurant
Passing through Matosinhos, I discovered this corner at the end of the third day.
The food is homemade, I went after the sardines that are my downfall and here, I found the good ones and the discretion!!
The employee was very attentive, and friendly.
If I knew that this place existed, I would have come earlier and every day!!

Das várias vezes que tive o grato prazer de almoçar e jantar com amigos, deliciei-me com os diversos manjares colocados à nossa disposição, tais como aquele delicioso bife de carne tenra e saborosa e aquelas célebres fanequinhas com arroz de tomate, feijão com amêijoas e o fantástico creme de camarão feito na hora que me ficarão na memória para sempre. Camarão da costa como entrada, bom vinho e sobretudo a arte de saber confeccionar e receber.
Here is my respect and friendship for the manager and owner of 'João Ratão', Mr. Rosas, his son and staff, who always received me with esteem and consideration. Of the several times I had the grateful pleasure of having lunch and dinner with friends, I was delighted with the various delicacies placed at our disposal, such as that delicious steak with tender and tasty meat and those famous puppets with tomato rice, beans with clams and the fantastic freshly made cream of shrimp that will stay in my memory forever. Shrimp from the coast as a starter, good wine and above all the art of knowing how to cook and receive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Olha, o vinho verde substitui com melhor exemplo os outros. Frutado e leve merece ser apreciado com os caracóis. A mistura de castas de vinhos verdes forneceu uma leveza vizinha ao Casal Garcia mas com menos intensidade.

Look, the green wine replaces with better example others. Fruity and light deserves to be enjoyed with snails. The mixture of grape varieties of green wines provided a lightness near the Casal Garcia but with less intensity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Descobrimos o restaurante por acidente, em virtude de um outro estar cheio, e acabou por ser uma agradável surpresa. O serviço pode levar mais tempo, mas devido ao facto de tudo ser fresco e confecionado na hora. Todos os pratos estavam muito saborosos e os funcionários foram atenciosos!
We discovered the restaurant by accident, due to another being full, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The service can take longer, but that's because everything is fresh and made to order. All the dishes were very tasty and the staff were attentive!
