The Restaurant O Cantinho, in Carvoeiro was opened in 1988. It was founded with the purpose of replicating the essence of Portuguese Gastronomy, being from a very early age a reference in Carvoeiro as one of the best places to eat.
This is a family founded restaurant, currently betting on the preparation of traditional Portuguese cuisine and typical Algarvian cuisine, striving for the quality / price ratio on the dishes presented.
Our focus has always been the innovation of the dishes and an attentive and personalized service!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am so pleasantly surprised. The food is affordable, top quality and taste, friendly staff, and the presentation was straight up baller. I got the Piri Piri chicken and it came with wholesome seemingly fresh sautéed potatoes instead of frozen fries you get other places nearby. It was the cheekiest of Nando’s - honestly don’t think I’ll be able to go to Nando’s again. YOU GOTS TO GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well worth googling this little gem. Despite the non-luxury seating area outside (wobbly tables), we were amazed with the food quality and quantity. Even the entree, bread and garlic butter, was phenomenal. Both fish and pork was tender and nicely served. A good place to enjoy dinner on a reasonable price range.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered the steak on the stone which was huge, quite the experience. Quality mediocre, but it's quantity over quality here. Housewine rose was very sweet, beware. Staff was nice. Had different expectations from the ratings people gave this place.

Price is regular within the area, but let's talk about food!
We ordered steak on stone, with chips and vegetables. Basically the steak is served raw and you cook it on the hot stone, tender and tasty meat which was good.
The issue lies with the siders, they tasted poorly, both vegetables and chips were tasteless.
With a bit of improvement they can do amazing things. Hoping to get something better next time!

Quality food, whether it’s a quick bite for lunch or an even meal. We had Steak on the Stone €15 & it was amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best portuguese dishes in carvoeiro. Fresh fish, special recipes. I loved tomato soups and other breads and everything. They were also very kind, if i have a chance i want to try everything. The beef steak portuguese style was very satisfied. Reasonable prices.
