★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this restaurant! It has fantastic food and big portions at a reasonable price. It also caters for all diets and is in a beautiful historic setting. This is one of the few restaurants in Obidos that has options for vegetarians and vegans …. and they aren’t the usual run-of-the-mill options either, we had a fabulous vegan ‘Seitan a Portuguesa’ and a vegetarian ‘Vegetables a Braz’ dish. My husband also had a very tasty codfish dish that he very much enjoyed. The waiter was very helpful and extremely friendly. All in all I highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely setting. Helpful and friendly staff and most importantly really nice food at a reasonable price. My wife is vegan and my son vegetarian. It is so very forward thinking of them to offer a quality vegan option (Seitan) as one of the vegetarian choices. Many restaurants only offer something vegan as an afterthought or nothing at all. Well done “Conquistador”. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place, really authentic Portuguese food. We were the only foreigners here. Warning - serving sizes are huge! Friendly service. Recommended. Photos are lamb stew and the chicken in a pot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Both dishes we ordered were absolutely 5 star! I appreciate that the menu was also in English! The hubs had the Lamb Stew and I had the Chicken Stew which were both HUGE portions baked in a fire oven in clay pots. They were each enough food on their own for both of us! It came with a lovely salad and hand cut fries. We had a feast! Our server was very attentive and friendly and spoke very good English. My husband said it was the best Lamb stew he has ever had! This is now our new favorite Restaurant inside the Castle walls. We will definitely be back! We highly recommend you giving it a try next time you are in Óbidos. You won’t be disappointed!
