★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely little Portuguese restaurant, Lagoa is a beautiful little town away from the coast and eating here out on the street is a Great experience. Seafood rice is amazing and Service is “Excellente”

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best food experience in the Algarve! I'm portugues and in the Algarve it's easy to be disappointed, but not this time! We had a great surprise, even though we arrived late around 10pm we were welcomed with a smile. Service with Carlos was the best!! He helped out to recommend some dishes and everything was fresh and very well served! My sardines were perfect! He would check in from time to time to see if all was going well and would have a friendly chat with us! In the end since we were the last customers instead of hurrying us out he ended up having a great conversation with us. Thank you Carlos for such a lovely evening!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 33 years ago Lagoa had a brilliant local restaurant called Onda which served local original Portuguese food all at an amazingly low cost. It was full of locals which was a judgement in itself. Sadly the owners sold up and moved on some 14 or more years ago and it was replaced by a Chinese. What a delight to find after 2 years of lock downs that Onda has been resurrected by one of the original staff and is serving simple original Portuguese cuisine. We always go for one of the menus of the day. Yesterday had the feijoada à transmontana (bean, cabbage, pork stew), yummy. Holiday makers stuck in their coastal resorts are missing the best part of Portugal.
