★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A vitela é divinal! Muitas entradas, chouriços, morcelas, tábuas de queijos e enchidos, tripas à moda do porto, filetes de polvo panado, sobremesas para todos os gostos, claro que tudo isto tem custo mas com tanta comida e de qualidade, vale a pena.
 The veal is divine! Many starters, chorizos, black puddings, cheese and sausage boards, tripe in Porto style, breaded octopus fillets, desserts for all tastes, of course all this comes at a cost but with so much quality food, it's worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Um almoço de aniversário de família a pedir um local mais requintado levou-nos ao Retiro do Paniceiro. Espaço renovado, moderno, com várias salas e decoração escolhida. O serviço simpático aconselhou nos pratos e, depois dos aperitivos, apostámos num misto entre carne e peixe que se relevou muito acertado. Isso e as sobremesas, que, em dose reforçada, acrescentaram a um repasto que se queria completo. Recomendo a visita, que futuramente iremos repetir! Nota importante: não tem multibanco.
A family birthday lunch asking for a more refined location took us to Retiro do Paniceiro. Renovated, modern space, with several rooms and chosen decoration. The friendly service advised on the dishes and, after the appetizers, we bet on a mix between meat and fish that proved to be very right. That and the desserts, which, in a reinforced dose, added to a meal that was wanted to be complete. I recommend the visit, which we will repeat in the future! Important note: there is no ATM.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Parking was almost impossible, restaurant didn't accept card payments and the waiters were more concerned with talking to their friends in the restaurant than doing their job. Entrées were decent, main meal was dry and the dessert was a cake they edited but the edits were disappointing and just ruined the cake (bolo de bolacha). Be careful as you may get food poisoning from here, my girlfriend was feeling funny after the meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff are very friendly and the food is rather good. We ordered a few different dishes and they were all very good, except for the arroz de pato, that was a bit dry.
The house wine was also delicious. Definitely recommend, specially the fish and seafood courses!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing traditional Portuguese restaurant. Went 2 times in 4 days of our staying. We had huge, very tasty portions of carapau and robalo fish served with fresh veggies and all for very affordable price! The atmosphere was excellent with good music and pleasant ambient. Special props to the waiter who served us, very professional and kind person! Highly recommended even if you are staying in Porto!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This a familial traditional portuguese restaurant. It's not easy to park around, so take your precautions. The interior is simple and nice and has probably been freshly renovated.
We got olives and bolinhos de bacalhau for starter. The bolinhos were good, but not as crispy as I like in the outside.
For the main, we got 1/2 dose of filetes misto and 1/2 dose of vitela assado for 2. The portions are generous and this big for us. The vitella was delicious, very tender and melting in the mouth. The sauce was packed with flavors. The filetes were one each of bacalhau, pescada, polvo and sardinhas. It was good and not oily, even if it could have been a bit more crispy. It came with the arroz de grelos which was very good.
We paid 30€ for all that plus a beer and a bottle of water which is reasonable. Overall it was a very enjoyable lunch !
