★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice and different place to visit in Rio Maior. The salt is extracted from the water running down from "Serra dos Candeeiros" which then infiltrate in the soil. Then in Salinas the water and salt are separated and natural dryed. About the place, there are many stores selling hand made products and restaurants with tradicional portuguese food. Very nice place to visit!
