Private xmas party with xmas dinner food was wonderful

The set lunch here is outstanding value. For €8.50 per person you get a drink (incl beer or a carafe of house wine), bread and olives, soup of the day, and a choice of main course from 3 selections (usually fish/chicken/meat). Litre bottles of water are only 50c extra. This is not a tourist restaurant and locals make up about 90% of the clientele. Some of the staff are accommodating and some obviously don't like having tourists in, but it's worth coming nonetheless. Evening meals aren't as good value and tourists are made to feel less welcome in the evening. Nonetheless we came every day for lunch because it was clean, quirky and amazing value. On our last visit we had 3 set meals and the portly dark haired manager insisted that we only had to pay for two! Toilets spotless.

Six of us asked for pizzas and six of us got pizzas. Admittedly in two relays but it all worked out and the pizzas were delicious. VGVM. ???

Good food and service. Had the chicken, spit roasted very tasty. I most certainly recommend this restaurant. Came back the next day and still great. For 8.50€ cannot do better... soup, main dish, coffee and wine, and very good service.

This restaurant is open for lunch and offers a choice of four main courses, a starter of homemade soup or olive bread and cheese followed by a dessert. For two people this will cost less than 20 Euros and having had this quality from them please try them before the season ends. Its a must !

Great place to eat. Nice atmosphere, attentive staff, excellent Portuguese food at very good value.

3 courses with wine and coffee at about 10 euros a head. Very portuguese but left feeling happy and full, will use again.
