★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Day four lunch in Ribamar restaurant, Sisembra, a seaside resort town around 40 kilometers/ 26 miles outside of Lisbon. I would give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to this restaurant for food, service and the ambience. After a long morning of hiking through hundreds of steps of castles and hillsides sightseeing, it was just awesome to have such great food.
We were served black olives and goat cheese "to die for" with freshly baked bread slices. Starters were scallops and cuttlefish roe. Main course was grilled fish with steamed vegetables paired with glasses of crisp white ?we would go back there again for the food and great waterfront riviera like experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had seafood soup, fish soup, seafood with rice and house wine. Food was okay for a normal meal but definitely not worth the premium price charged. Food 3 stars. Price value 1 star. Service 1 star. Feeling a bit bad about spending almost 100 € for a lunch and getting ridiculed behind my back from the staff.

This is a nice restaurant on the sea front. The staff is nice and the food is really good. Obviously this is mainly for fish lovers. The price are really reasonable for the quality of food and it seems less "touristic" than other places on that street.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good food, tasty, and plenty. We ate a "parrilhada de marisco". Service was also very good. We should return... there was a promise of "lingueirao" rice that we must taste. See you there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is pretty tasty. Not great. Not exceptional. Pretty good for the area. I’ve been twice now. Once in 2019 and again just today.
Tonight, in addition to the appetizers and sides, we had a rather small “dourada” fish with dinner. When we got the bill at the end of our meal, I saw we were charged for a 1 kilo fish at 40 euros. When I pointed out to the staff that the fish we ate (we had ordered a fish large enough to feed two kids and one adult abc it barely stretched that far.) was not a very large fish, certainly not a kilo, they said the fish we received actually weighed MORE than a kilo but they undercharged us. Only when I persisted did they confess that it may have been smaller and changed the bill from 1 kilo to .9 kilo. See receipt below
But the fish was really between .5 and .7 kilos… so we still overpaid by a lot. (I’ve bought a lot of dourada and there’s no way it was 1 kilo )
We ordered a lot as you can see . During covid, I’m happy to support restaurants that have unfairly endured too much disruption and loss of business. But I resent this kind of cheating on a bill.
My advice to any foreigners is to avoid this restaurant. The staff clearly has no compunction when it comes to trying to overcharge customers if they think they can get away with it
