★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice resort with super friendly staff. There was three different pool areas and nice activities during the day. Like water polo and bird show.
Restaurant served buffet dinner which was really good. Also breakfast was superb. Here is some pictures of lunch and drinks.
Under our balcony there was bar terrace and there was band playing every evening. They stopped playing like 22.30. That was a little minus. Our room was with sea view on the main building.
Be aware with your room bill bacause someone put one lunch on our room and we almost did not noticed that when checked out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this 5 star hotel, the view from our room was breathtaking. The staff were all super friendly and eager to help. I cannot fault anything with this hotel. I will definitely go there again. The food was also delicious, not entirely Portuguese, but I guess as with most hotels they have to cater to tourist tastes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really great hotel. Would recommended to families as there are 9 pools to choose from and 3 for little kids and the water in the pools is warmer that the sea. Rooms are really spacious and with air conditioning in all rooms. I would recommend the room with sea views as its exceptionally fabulous to wake up and view the beautiful sea. Food is amazing and the choice of meat and sea food is excellent and the best pet is the desert is really tasty and high standards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in a suite at Salgados Dunas Suites in August 2019. The room was very spacious fitted with modern furniture and kept very clean and tidy by housekeeping. There were nice touches such as the Nespresso machine with complimentary capsules.
Our two young children loved their stay. They could drop in and drop out of the kids club as often as it suited us/them. The kids club staff were very attentive and provided a range of indoor and outdoor play activities to keep them interested every day.
We paid for half board. The food was excellent and plenty of variation to keep us and the kids happy. Evening entertainments in the restaurant a couple of times a week also went down well.
In the evenings we enjoyed the rooftop bar in the building opposite the Suites (also part of the complex).
We didn't hire a car and instead used Uber cars to get around - which was not only more convenient but much cheaper too. Even though the suites are a little out of town, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a taxi whenever we needed one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel rooms can be improved. We booked a three bedroom apartment with sea view but only the living room was with sea view. The rooms were not what we expected in terms of facilities. One of them was with separated beds and really small. In fact it’s an apartment with the main bedroom and two small rooms for kids. Each room has its own bathroom.
Clearness. They’re not going to clean the rooms each day at the same timeframe. Some days they skipped it. We had to ask to add dishwasher detergent for dishwasher machine, bath towels, some extra blankets.
Room maintenance. The air conditioner was remotely controlled and we asked to adjust the temperature by the guy in charge. He didn’t fix it.
WiFi. Very slow!! Definitely could be improved!
Outside facilities. Very nice pools but the water is too cold. Having a heated pool could make a huge difference.
If we are going to come back in Algarve area we’ll definitely consider another hotel option.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pools are fabulous (although I preferred the previous, more "natural", look with stone). Staff is fantastic. But if you have a small baby beware: rooms are not totally dark, so my wake up time today was 6:30 - because light enters the room and I could not convince my baby to sleep longer. The bathroom is miniscule for a 2, 3 or 4 occupation. The suite has a kitchenette behind closed doors which is nice but not at all practical. Also room lighting is very poor. So if you are looking for a five star place where you can cook some meals because it is easier with a small baby - and you are "pickier" than average, you will find this option to lack some of the comforts you would expect in a five-star junior suite with kitchenette. The rest of the week will probably be with very early mornings - and a sleepy child throughout the day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ More than a 5 star hotel (with all the services) it is like a 5 star apartment complex. I would give it 4.5 starts instead of five, read below. This Resort has everything you expect from a 5 star hotel, the reception could be a little more organized but like I said it is like a 5 star apartment complex. The rooms (suites) are the largest I have seen in Europe. Food and drinks were excellent, they also offer a Sushi restaurant which is very good. I cannot say more about the service. Only downside is the beach is a walk (half km) and there is no representation of the hotel at beach, no beds, no towels (need to get them from pool area), no service. There is a concession there but belongs to someone else and you need to pay if you want an umbrella and beds. On high season impossible to get one. So do not expect a beach front resort as once you depart the pool area you are on a public beach with very cold water and nothing you expect from a 5 star beach resort.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely reception, restaurant/ bar and guest relations staff. Nice breakfast. Beach nearby is beautiful and pools are well managed. Not many restaurants around and the restaurants on the beach are extremely expensive. Buffet in Salgados Dunas is overpriced too in my opinion. Rooms need soundproofing badly - you can hear people next door as if they were in your room. Noise issues. Very disappointed with the integrity of the housekeeping staff - I left a designer tshort in the room when we changed the room and housekeeping staff " never found it" - came back to the room 2 hrs later the tshirt was not there ( left it on the bed before leaving) . Otherwise very nice hotel and beautiful area to visit
