Nice golf court but steep price for the semi ideal greens

Some fantastic looking holes which require some thought beforehand however overall course condition was not good especially the tee boxes. Greens were not great either. In my opinion this course is over rated and over priced. Sorry its Not worth over €160 for 18 holes...

This was disappointing. San Lorenzo quality of tees, fairways and greens not up to scratch and dont warrant the £165 green fee charged. A world of difference in quality compared to the Quinta courses and Vale do Lobo. Great shame as holes are a real test of golf but course is looking tired and somewhat unloved. I hired two sets of clubs and called in advance to let the club know. The clubs hadn’t been cleaned, clubs didn’t match, some irons had steel shafts and some graphite. See the bag attached on one set we hired - tatty. Difficult not to compare at other local clubs who hire you new sets of Burners or Pings. San Lorenzo really needs to up its game or it will lose its loyal customers which would be a great shame as this course over the years has always been on the list to always play !

The San Lorenzo is a really, really nice golf course, and we highly recommend it. In great condition when we brought a group through in September. Great staff, and a very interesting layout. The course meanders down along the sea through holes 6 and 7 and finishes with a few great closing holes. If you're planning a trip to the Algarve for golf, this should be on the list. Great character

Very disappointed on such reading great reviews, Tees worn out, greens covered in pitch marks and worn patches, the course is very picturesque but looking very tired could do with some work to bring it up to a better standard. The price for a round about £175 not worth the money, better off going to Pinheiros Alto great 3 loops of 9 holes. Very small changing rooms small club house. Very friendly staff but looking for gratuity.

Had a great game of golf here. It's not a hugely long course but most holes require a level of thinking on your tee shot and also second shots. The greens were quick and rolling very true, yet soft when hitting into from a distance. Has some very good views and water holes as well as very nice homes dotted around the course.

The golf course has a beautiful layout, but it seems that since years no money has been spent on facilities and maintenance. The pathways for buggy's are horrible and the tee-offs not well maintained. The sign boards are due for a museum. The course is not comparable at all to the vale do Lino courses.

I came to play San Lorenzo having been told what an amazing golf course it was. Imagine my disappointment when I played it to find the fairways bare, the tees in a terrible state and the general condition of the course poor. Some of the holes are magnificent and really challenging but the condition of the course definitely spoilt my experience.
