We had a spectacular visit to Sapateiro! Tiago is a wonderful, knowledgeable host and it was a great privilege to be welcomed into his family vineyard. The food was tasty and the wine was even better - it’s clear that Tiago is doing some really unique and exciting things.. highly recommend if you’re in the area!

My boyfriend and I booked a tour/tasting at Sapateiro based on all the google reviews and were not disappointed. We really enjoyed learning the history of the vineyard and Tiago's passion for winemaking. We tried four different wines (really enjoyed the experimental variety) while snacking on an amazing cheese board. Definitely the most personalized tasting that I have experienced and would highly recommend!

Tiago and Silvi curated an amazing experience. Tiago walked us around the property/wine cellar and explained the history of the vineyard, his family, and the wine - his passion really came through. We even got to taste the 9 varieties of grapes grown on the property. After the tour, they graciously had us on their balcony for lunch and a wine tasting. Silvi is an outstanding chef and paired perfectly with Tiago’s selection of wine. The two are a perfect pair that were warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this for groups and couples. You will not regret it!

We had an amazing experience! Sylvi, made us feel very welcome. We talked about the history of the Vinho Verde region, the vineyard itself and the cool story behind the name “Sapateiro.” She treated us to a generous tasting of their delicious and complex wines and even cooked us some hearty tapas. Beautiful views, great wine and food, and very friendly family. A must check out!

We always have a wonderful experience with a tasting, petiscos and visit. The wines are amazing! Tiago and Silvi take such good care of those that come to visit. Look forward to always coming back.

This was an incredible experience, unlike any tasting I’ve tried before. Visiting Sapateiro winery feels like coming home. A family run, boutique winery, with a meticulous passion for the art of winemaking. Lovely origin story, too, with rich history and charm. Tiago was a fantastic host, and Silvi has an eye for detail & knack for presentation. I have tasted wines all over the world from Napa Valley, to the Bordeaux region - but this truly takes the cake. Be prepared to spend a couple hours here…perhaps longer b/c you’ll be engaged, ask questions, and walk around the vineyards. It’s nestled among hills just 45 minutes or so outside of Porto. My group of 4 enjoyed deliciously paired cheeses and charcuterie, and purchased quite a few bottles to take home, at a great price point. Looking forward to sharing this hidden gem with many others! We were in February March 2022 on a 14 day round trip through Portugal. Since we started in Porto on the second day of our trip and were on the way from Braga to Aveiro and have looked for a few bottles of wine for our road trip. We spontaneously looked which winery is on the route. Relatively quickly we stumbled through the 5 star Google reviews about the winery of Tiago and Silvi. We were just in Guimares about 1 hour away and have on a Sunday at 3 pm Tiago called whether we can spontaneously come over (thought that we are actually too spontaneous) to the delight of all of us, Tiago said no problem, sure you can come spontaneous over to wine tasting. We had actually thought that we only try one or two glasses and then just take a few bottles. Tiago and Silvi have surprised us then very much :) First of all, Tiago has taken a lot of time to explain us the really very interesting story of how he and his father came to wine at all and what wine he currently grows. Then we went into the garage / wine cellar / wine tasting room where to our surprise Silvi had prepared a fantastic cheese / sausage plate that has fit perfectly as an accompaniment to the wines. And then Tiago let us taste six of his wines, which were really very good and partly also very experimental. We have convinced the wine in any case so that we have also taken a bottle of each and so with each evening on our tour us again remember the very nice experience on Tiago's and Silvi's winery. We can definitely recommend it to everyone when your are in the near to visit the three, I have almost forgotten Xico their dog, who ran around us druing wine tasting. Thank you again you three for the unforgettable wine tasting and very nice start to our Protugal round trip, we will in any case when we are back in Portugal come by and certainly also order a wine box.
