★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall it was an unic experience where we could see de dark sky. After a few time in darkness we can realise our eyes adapt and a lot of stars are visible, including the milky way. Something to repeat. Thanks to the staff for excellent work.

We got to see Jupiter, Neptune, Binary systems, Supernovas and much more!
The guide was a physicist so he was very knowledgeable as well.
Easily the best thing we did in portugal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was a great star gazing experience with Dark Sky team. Attended the Solar observatory session and it was amazing to see the surface of the sun and the prominences, flairs that erupt from its surface. It was combination of theory and telescopic observation at the same time. The night star gazing session was especially spectacular! You get to see the Milky way galaxy and the constalations, Jupiter and Sanitarium very Cleary with naked eye and impressive views from the telescopes. This place in Europe has very less light noise which makes it a fantastic experience to see the sky and stars like you never had before! The astronaut guide Nun was very knowledgeable, and made the sessions very entertaining! Special thanks to Rebecca who organized the tour and Carolina the photographer! If you are in Portugal, make sure to book a tour with Dark Sky team!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience definitely recommend. The staff is super friendly (both Rebecca and Fred), professional when booking and energetic and enthusiastic during the your, answering all the questions you might have in a very simple way (as simple as the universe can be at least). Depending on the season, you can see galaxies, constellations, Mars, Jupiter and it's moons, Septurm with the rings, swarm of stars, the moon, etc.
The observatory is inside a little village with some light pollution with the street lights, I think that could improve so that you can better appreciate the view while not using the telescope.
2 TIPS:
- 1 or 2 hours at night quietly looking into stars can make you cold!! Make sure you are very warm and properly dressed (dark sky team, add this to your email:)
- If you have time to plan, consider checking with the team what you can see in each season, get recommendations and plan accordingly in advance
