Selina Peniche

Was told to pay 150 euro in 'deposit' even though I had payed my stay in full, because of some error in their booking system. They said I would get it back in a day when it was resolved. Still haven't gotten it back 10 days later. The last day they made me miss my planned transportation by booking a taxi way in the last minute even though I made it explicit that I wanted to be in good time. Also the waiters in their restaurant kept forgetting the orders and the toilet of the dorm room was out of order for half of the days.

The hotel as every Selina has great staff, cool deco and amazing ambience. The halfpipe at the main entrance is much fun, as people hangout out around and connect with each other, great place to meet people from everywhere and have some fun while drinking margaritas. The rooms are nice and spacious so we enjoyed a lot our stay. Highly recommended

Here you can meet many interesting people, enjoying in music and beer but also in delicious food. Staff is really cool, mostly young people, they are very nice and affordable. They are also organize lot's of interesting events every month. I never rent room here, but some of my friends told me that is very nice and clean. So if you are in neighborhood come, you won't regret ?

SHRIMP TACOS AND CARNE TACOS WERE DELICIOUS ALONG WITH THE BEST MARGARITAS IN TOWN…!! DJ TIBURON WAS MIXING SOME TUNES FOR THE AWESOME LATE NIGHT BASEMENT SET UP THEY HAVE FOR CONCERT VENUES..

The waitresses of the place are super nice and the are super attentive to serve you all times...the boys also the same and in the kitchen some Masters ; I ate an exquisite arepa called sayulita. Its a great place where skating also enjoy live concerts.

Amazing place, friendly staff, close to the beach, lush surf, amazing food, fun and buzzy atmosphere. Talk to anyone and everyone and be made to feel welcome. Will be going back as soon as possible.

Selina is a great hostel. Good location and also a meeting point (hangout) for other people around, like locals. So if you're looking to meet new people, this is the place. Making contact was super easy (even when you are a bit scared to take initiative, like me). Guests are mostly intelligent, calm, kind and open people. A lot of young people, which is nice. I myself am 36 years old, but didn't feel too old there, cause people are quite serious about their surfing, work (digital nomads), lifestyle and way of approaching others (friendly and communicative). People are basically there for surfing, having fun (with not too many beers) and good conversation. No drunk or loud noises in the night when you're sleeping. ;-) Reception staff is super friendly and helpful. Everyone of them spoke English very well. The hostel organizes nice activities on a daily basis for free (for hostel guests) like yoga and coloring mandela's. I really loved that. Food is good, especially the warm meals. I only have to points of improvement ;-): - The breakfast was the same every morning. I think it might be nice if there were a few more things to choose from. - There was one girl there working as a waitress (she was there almost every day, I think) and she looked kind of cranky or annoyed every day. Compared to the other staff, she did not seem very customer friendly. But besides the above to notes, I had a great stay and would absolutely recommend the place! Thanks Selina! :-)

Just keep coming back to this place!! Bernardo and the team are really welcoming and the place is huge with lots going on and friendly people. Surfing is a walk down the road and if you want to party, Selina's is always the place to start. I prefer a quiet beer and Selina's caters for this too. Will keep coming back again!!
