Another great restaurant in Setubal! With very sui generis decoration, we can discover a wide range of fresh fish combined with the good service and friendliness of the owners. All inclusive menus at great price. It's really a restaurant to come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Já lá fui umas 3 vezes, e sempre comi peixe fresco e muito bem assado. O peixe vem sempre acompanhado por batata, salada e migas. O menu inclui ainda o pão e azeitonas, a bebida, sobremesa e café. Os preços... justos! Menu entre os 11€ e os 14€, dependendo do tipo de peixe que se escolhe. A sala é super acolhedora e muito bem decorada. Tenho sido sempre recebida com muita simpatia e percebe-se que há gosto pelo que se faz! (o que nem sempre acontece em alguns sítios, infelizmente). E ainda podemos escolher o peixe que queremos comer! Há uma banca, tipo praça, na cave onde o podemos escolher e ver a grelhar.
Setúbal é uma cidade com sítios fantásticos para se comer bem e um bom peixe assado... O Sem Espinhas, é um dos meus preferidos! Recomendo, claro! :)
I've been there 3 times, and I've always had fresh and very well-baked fish. The fish is always accompanied by potatoes, salad and migas. The menu also includes bread and olives, drink, dessert and coffee. Prices ... fair! Menu between 11 € and 14 €, depending on the type of fish you choose. The room is super cozy and very well decorated. I have always been received with great sympathy and it is clear that there is a taste for what you do! (which does not always happen in some places, unfortunately). And we can still choose the fish we want to eat! There is a stall, square type, in the basement where we can choose and watch it grilling.
Setúbal is a city with fantastic places to eat well and good roasted fish ... Sem Espinhas, is one of my favorites! I recommend it, of course! :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heerlijk gegeten bij Sem Espinhas. We werden door de eigenaar uitgenodigd om de vis uit te zoeken. Kregen daarbij advies in goed Engels. Naast vis werd wijn, brood, olijven, salade, migas en aardappel geserveerd. Ook een heerlijk dessert maakte onderdeel uit van het menu. Als klap op de vuurpijl kregen we een drankje van het huis aangeboden. Dit was veruit onze beste maaltijd in Portugal. En voor de prijs hoef je het niet te laten.
Delicious eaten at Sem Espinhas. We were invited by the owner to sort out the fish. Received advice in good English. In addition to fish, wine, bread, olives, salad, migas and potato were served. A delicious dessert was also part of the menu. To top it all off we were offered a drink from the house. This was by far our best meal in Portugal. And you don't have to leave it for the price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was the best restaurant in Setubal and to my regret it had been closed due to Covid. I didn’t even want to tell anyone about this place it was already hard to get a table during lunch. I hope the owner read this review. Can’t beat the price, charisma of os the owner and the most important consistency and quality of the food.
