We are so happy to know Nic. His teaching style is a nice blend of technicality, intuitive learning and solid safety guidelines. Our kids felt instantly at ease. Our 10yr old has found a new passion and is evolving by the session. We very much appreciate and enjoy every time we go. We love the family sessions when we all get to surf together.
Not only Nic is the best Surf teacher around he is also the most kind person worth knowing. It’s not only surf sessions. It’s life memories. We recommend Sintra Surf School eyes closed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nick is awesome. We took him for a day of guiding, and he found us the perfect waves for our level. He had all the time for us, and was with us in the water until we were too tired to continue. He also gave us many helpful tips, and we both learned a lot and had a great time.

They're knowledgeable, easy to get on with, speak English, German and Portuguese and their gear is in good condition - I'd definitely recommend them if you're looking to get your surf on in the Sintra region.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 5 year old loves taking bodyboarding lessons with Nicolas. He begs for lessons every time we go to Portugal! As a parent, safety comes first. Even though my son can’t swim yet I feel totally at ease when Nicolas is with him in the water. Maybe one day I’ll take lessons myself but for now I’m happy to enjoy some free time while my kid is learning some skills and having a great time on Sintra’s beaches. Highly recommended ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place to surf and the best people to learn with! I've been having regular lessons with Nicolas and the team since April (2021) and it's been a great experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn or improve their surfing,
The instructors are all super friendly, professional and definitely make you feel safe in the water. Most importantly, their goal is to actually teach people how to surf, rather than just floating around in the foam with as many beginners as possible... From day one, we were taught about the conditions at the beach, how to paddle out etc. And they are always looking to take you to the next level when you're ready.
Great bunch of people who seem to love teaching as much as they (clearly) love surfing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thanks Nicolas, Kiko and other guys, who took lessons with me, for the best surfing experience. I got a lot of value from lessons: how and when stand up, how catch waves, what time is the best for surfing, how waves are moving etc. I had a lot of fun during the lessons. Will back soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nic and the team really looked after me. This is my first bodyboarding lesson after I nose dived my board in the Azores and severed my shoulder. Confidence regained and ready to rock and roll when I am back with the kids. This guy knows the waves and is a super teacher - this is really important during these times when everyone else appears super stressed. Much love ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sintra Surf School is the best place to learn Surfing or Bodyboarding. Doesn't matter if you do a course for a whole
week, a weekend or just an hour. You will have fun anyway, if you're advanced or total beginner, doesn't matter. Nic (the owner and head coach) speaks Portuguese, Englisch and German as well. Join the ride and have some fun!
