Sleeping in the pension nearby, we visited this cafe more than once. Breakfast, dinner, beers.
We have always felt welcome while being in a typical and local cafe. The other customers had really little to do with the mass tourism stream that touches some Portuguese areas.
We also tried the food for dinner.
Pretty good clams as starter, good picanhas and excellent bacalhau a braz. The price too good to be true. Great option if you want to eat well while being in a real place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect little gem in the heart of Almocageme. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I spilled beer over myself by mistake - I got another one. On the way back we ordered bacalhau and some burgers - everything was fresh, delivered fast - and most importantly - delicious. Highly recommend!

The soup was served almost cold, part congealed, unseasoned, full of pasta, missing the fish... but containing lots of imitation crab.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect little cafe / restaurant with good snacks and good food at fair prices. Nothing special but good value for money. Pastry, hot meals, soft and warm drinks, alcohol, tobacco products, outside seating, ... Everything you need to survive.
