Wonderful country restaurant situated on the winding N396, one of the most perfect roads in the Algarve for riding motorcycles. Their food is home-cooked familiarity with no pandering to the times; it's superb and I challenge you to find a fault. Desserts are the same, just like grandma used to make! I ordered the "vegetarian surprise" and was not disappointed. Friendly hosts and a lovely terrace make this my new favourite restaurant in the Loulé area. Bon appétit!

We had a wonderful experience, having lunch at this small restaurant near Querença. Their robalo fish plate with grilled zucchini and roasted potatoes is really good, but they have a very special dessert you should really try: their grilled ice cream. Yes, you read that right: grilled ice cream. An invention by the restaurant's owner, who not only makes his own ice cream, but also makes great creations with it, such as this really surprising dessert, which comes with warm parts of pear in a smooth caramel sauce. Delightful!

We really enjoyed our lunch. So friendly people and very good food. Honest prices too.

The restaurant is perfect! You have a big choice of different dishes, all tastes very fresh and tasteful and the atmosphere is quiet and nice. We had fish, beef and seafood. Moreover the people are very sympathetic and you got also information in english. Normally when I am on holiday I am curious about trying a lot of different restaurants, but to this we had to go twice in a week! :-) Wish you all the best!

Nice friendly family run restaurant. Lots of daily specials. I would give them the extra star if they had more vegetarian options.

The place is located in a beautiful setting. We understand why many people specially foreigners like it. When coming to eat at a restaurant we have to rate the whole experience not just the food itself. We visited during the weekend for lunch and the place was packed. The food was good and prices reasonable. The javali stew was ok. Nothing out of ordinary. It was big portion and just what is usually expected in a similar style stew. The duck dish was well presented and very tasty. The ice creams although they are marketed as being homemade they were average. Some items of the menu weren't available. However we didn't like the service. It was likely a combination of being understaffed for the amount of tables together with some lack of organisation. We came with a young toddler and the staff never bothered to cater for her just because we had ordered 2 dishes and they automatically assumed the toddler wouldn't eat. Beside that we had to be chasing the staff all the time throughout the meal. There were some items from the menu missing when ordering. Finally the restaurant is located without amenities nearby and the place doesn't accept card payments (multibanco). Something really out of place in the 21st century and also really inconvenient due to location where there restaurant is. Wish we had visited during a quieter day where perhaps the staff could have provided a better service and therefore we could give a higher rating closer to the average rating however based on the reasons above it would be misleading for the other potential visitors.

Very rarely do I give reviews, but very rarely am I impressed with food, quality and service as much as I was here, tonight. The food was simple, but not common, cooked to perfection, the service very friendly and on spot. It is a jewel hidden in the algarvian back-country, and a jewel, I would say that one has to visit. One of those insider gems, where "family-run" and "prepared with love" still mean something. Don't think twice. We will be back again and again. Thank you to all the restaurant staff.

The most amazing little place in Querênça for lunch, dinner or just a snack! Super delicious, tasty food, reasonably priced and great service! We will most definitely be back!! Photo, one of the snacks we had ;)
