★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Desde a recepção até ao chek-out, tudo foi muito bom. Os quartos são grandes e confortáveis. A simpatia dos donos é inexcedível. O pequeno almoço tem uma variedade como raramente se encontra. Umas 10 variedades de doces caseiros, todos magníficos. Requeijão, queijo da serra, frutas da quinta, bolos caseiros, enfim, um regalo! O edifício principal é um Solar do século XVII muito bem tratado e adaptado ao fim a que se destina.
 From reception to check-out, everything was very good. Rooms are big and comfortable. The friendliness of the owners is unsurpassed. Breakfast has a variety that is rarely found. About 10 varieties of homemade sweets, all magnificent. Requeijão, Serra cheese, farm fruits, homemade cakes, finally, a real treat! The main building is a 17th century manor house, very well maintained and adapted to its intended purpose.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Um solar centenário com as todas as comodidades para se passar um bom fim de semana. Anfitriões muito simpáticos e um excelente pequeno almoço com produtos locais,desde o queijo da serra, às compotas e bolos caseiros, tudo servido em quantidade e qualidade. Recomendo vivamente ???
A centenary manor house with all the amenities to spend a good weekend. Very friendly hosts and an excellent breakfast with local products, from the Serra cheese, to homemade jams and cakes, all served in quantity and quality. I strongly recommend ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very warm welcome by the elderly couple who created this wonderful country inn. The rooms are charming, old world cottages, well heated, a little fridge and excellent bathroom. The area is gorgeous, and now I have to go back and stay again! I will be looking forward to the amazing breakfast they put on in the kitchen, an old chapel converted, with a fire going in the fireplace on this chilly morning.

This area is also surrounded by great biking roads.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an elegant Manor house with extensive gardens to walk or relax in. It is located in Mesquitela, a charming village not far from the Serra da Estrela mountains. There are a number of quaint villages nearby, and also tracks through woodland, so you can go on long walks while staying here. The host was kind enough to lend me a bicycle one day to explore the surrounding area - you see a lot more this way than by driving. Last but not least are the two friendly little dogs that welcome you, Noddy and Tucha.
