We are so thankful to have found Something Borrowed for our elopement in Sintra, Portugal. Marta and Teresa were so wonderful to work with! They are very detail oriented, extremely organized, and great communicators. Additionally, they work with an excellent team. The beauty team, Jordana and Dorata, did a wonderful job of making me feel beautiful. Our wedding celebrant, Tânia, put together an extremely beautiful ceremony; very personal and memorable. Finally, our photographer, Ricardo, perfectly captured the day. Since we eloped, pictures were very important for us. Ricardo did such a beautiful job. In fact, I have heard from many people that they have never seen such beautiful wedding pictures before! Overall, I am so very pleased with our decision to work with Something Borrowed. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding in Portugal. I am eternally grateful to them and would love to see all of them some day in the future.

We couldn’t imagine a better team to make our dream wedding a reality! Everyone was so easy and fun to work with to the point that we still keep in touch with some team members a year later! In our initial search for planners, other teams we met immediately told us we might not be able to have the elaborate wedding we were imagining within the budget we were hoping for, but Something Borrowed immediately let’s us know that they could make it happen and work with our budget in any way! They made planning a wedding from overseas incredibly easy, and were able to take our sometimes strange or vague explanations of what we wanted for our wedding, and somehow not only understand it but immediately give ideas and examples of making those ideas a reality. We can’t recommend them highly enough! Thank you so much Teresa and team - we will never get over how amazing and perfect our wedding was thanks to you guys!!

Teresa and Joana were an absolute pleasure to work with! My husband and I could not have had our incredible wedding in Lisbon without these two ladies by our side from the very beginning of the planning process. They were always very accessible and willing to chat and never complained about our late night messages (5 hour time difference!). They put us at ease on our wedding day and ensured that everything was moving perfectly...and it certainly did! Thank you once again for everything ladies - sending our love from Toronto xo

They were absolutely great! Everyone at the wedding said it was the prettiest wedding they had been to and everyone had the best time. Teresa and everyone on her team were amazing. We managed to stay within budget because they brought us so many options. They were attentive and caring throughout the whole process and all the time zones my now husband I were in. We definitely could not have planned the most perfect destination wedding without them.

Joana and Teresa did an amazing job planning our wedding. They have excellent taste and made some great recommendations for us, nothing was too much trouble and they had so much patience taking us to different venues. We would definitely recommend them.

I am a HUGE fan of Teresa and Fatima (Something Borrowed) and here is why. Context: I am not from Portugal, nor (sadly) do I have any ties to Portugal, but we always wanted to get married abroad. With that in mind, we knew that we'd need some help from local wedding planners. My first (cheap) choice was awful and unprofessional :(. Desperate to find another service I found Something Borrowed. I didn't want to fork out for a full service (because I am as frugal as they come), so they kindly offered a consultant package which was super reasonable. Why Teresa and Fatima are amazing: - Efficient and Helpful: Teresa and Fatima always came back to me on all of my questions; they set me up with a planner platform so I could access checklists and their recommended wedding vendors. They also highlighted ways I could be more cost effective without sacrificing quality. On a number of occasions when there were language barriers between myself and the vendors, Fatima or Teresa would jump in and consult with the wedding vendors on my behalf, without being asked. Note this was above and beyond the consultant package I had booked. - Accommodating: Teresa and Fatima were always open and flexible to my ideas and ways of operating. If I had a specific idea or look they were always aligned but also provided some alternatives. This is really needed when you're planning a wedding abroad; you're not always going to have local knowledge so having someone on the ground that understands what you're looking for but can provide different routes to get it is priceless. - Thoughtful: Teresa and Fatima are like family to us now. They were so considerate and thoughtful. With all the chaos of COVID my husband couldn't attend the tasting session so Fatima made sure to join me so that I wasn't alone. On the wedding day they were all over it, I didn't need to worry about a thing (again this is priceless, trust me). Fatima was by my side most of the day ensuring that my wedding dress train was well looked after for the hundreds of photos we took. Teresa and Fatima also surprised us with a lovely wedding gift - a photo album, which we really wanted but we didn't want to spend more money on a nice-to-have. They got it for us. They took extra care and time to ship our wedding keepsakes too, making sure to save all the little treasures that we would have forgotten for sure. Overall I had a WONDERFUL experience with these two lovely ladies. I would fully recommend them to anyone planning a wedding abroad. If you want considered, thoughtful and a due diligent service these are the ladies to go after. Teresa and Fatima, I cannot sing your praises enough. Thank you for being so amazing, and for making our day one for the ages. ?❤️
