SPR Tours - Tuk Tuk & Van Tours in Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Fátima, Sesimbra and Évora

We took a trip to Sintra from Lisbon. Andre was great. He told us great history about all the palaces and was very patience with us since my wife takes a billion pictures at each new spots. We didn’t felt pushed as well. The van was very comfortable and great for our group of 4 adults and 1 infant. Will recommend to others.

We did two wonderful tours with SPG Tours; our guide was Andre, who was beyond excellent. He has vast knowledge of Lisbon and surrounding areas providing historical facts and amusing anecdotes along the way. His command of English is very good. We used a Tuktuk for the tour of Lisbon and a larger seven passenger van for our Sintra/Cascais tour. Both modes of transportation were very comfortable and clean. We are delighted we discovered Andre as his tours allowed us to maximize our all too short Portugal visit. We plan to return in May and will definitely seek out Andre’s tours again. As further testimony to SPG, four individuals on our Sintra tour had done a Lisbon tour with a Romeo, who works for Andre. They were so impressed with Romeo that they booked for Sintra and then a third tour for the next day. More satisfied customers! Our first tour was a two hour Tuktuk tour of Lisbon where we saw many attractions and sites we would never have discovered on our own. Nor would the hop on/hop off busses have taken us to these sites. The commentary was abundant and excellent providing interesting details on the different attractions. Our second tour was a small group tour to Sintra. Here Andre accompanied us again and continued his tradition of providing excellent commentary. On this full day tour we visited the Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, ate a traditional Portuguese lunch, sampled port and cherry liquor, ate some wonderful Portuguese pastries before heading to the coast and more stops on the return to Lisbon.

We were already enjoying exploring Lisbon on our own and on a hop/off bus tour and then we met Andre. And how lucky we were. Andre took us on a most wonderful half day tour of Lisbon that we could not possibly have achieved on our own. He has an incredibly detailed knowledge of this most wonderful city which he shared with us and we have now far richer insights into Lisbon, thanks to him. We stopped often, he explained churches, monuments, events in the city’s history. He showed us grand avenues, tiny cobbled streets and the most wonderful vistas of the city. He is also the most friendly, helpful guy you could possibly spend time with. We were so impressed and delighted with our afternoon together that it was a very easy decision to take a full day tour with Andre to Sintra, Cascais and the countryside and coast adjoining the city. Again, the same amazing stories to tell and knowledge to share. We’re going back in May and intend to spend more time touring with him. I wish there were more stars to award than five. He is an outstanding guide, worth every Euro (and more) and a most enjoyable guy to spend time with. If you’re going to Lisbon, seek him out.

We had a brilliant day out with Andre He is super nice and very informative about Portugal. The transport was very comfortable and we had a beautiful lunch in Colares. Seen some beautiful sites and experienced the great micro climate in Cabo. Thanks for a great day.

We couldn't have been more happy with our tour. We booked Andre and his comfortable transport and then let him advise us of the best order of the day - he knew the busy times, where to park and tailored the Palace visits around our wishes. He is very professional whilst also warm and friendly. His knowledge of the area, the palaces, the coastal towns and lots of hidden gems of myths and legends, was exceptional. This is our first time stopover in Lisbon, Portugal and we were so lucky to meet Andre from SPR Tours on the day of our arrival. Andre was such a nice guide, very professional and very knowledgeable. He knows inside out the city and all the touristic attractions. We were able to customize the tour and focus on our points of interest as well. Andre even went above and beyond our expectations, and showed us all the nice areas we would never be able to explore on our own. We even stopped by the famous bakery of Belem to try out those famous egg tarts. Our trip was so complete with Andre's guidance. We would definitely recommend Andre to our families & friends or anyone that want to have a tour with so much details and history in such a short period of time. Andre was an amazing tour guide. Spoke great English. The van had great AC and was very comfortable. It was myself and two other friends. He worked with our needs and the things we wanted to see, and then some. He is extremely knowledgeable of the history and Portugal as a whole. I would highly recommend this tour. We were able to avoid many crowds and it was hands free and care free. All around a great experience and well worth the money.

Andre is a rock star. My wife and I have recently returned from a short visit to Lisbon and we had two absolutely magnificent tours with Andre. He is a great guy to have with you as you visit and discover Lisbon, the neighbouring historical towns, the seaside and the culture of the country. In addition, he is a safe driver and knows lovely places to have lunch or a snack. We did the Sintra and surrounding areas tour and a day trip around Lisbon. But in both cases before we arrived, we had changed the set route for these tours and added a few extra places that we wanted to visit. Andre was not just flexible, he was knowledgeable and suggested things that we could fit in a day without overloading it. For instance we preferred to go to the little seaside town of Azenhas do Mar instead of spending too much time in Cascais and Estoril where we had been before. No problem. For the Lisbon day tour we went to the picturesque Vasco da Gama bridge and the Expo site as well as the magnificent Cristo Rei though many typical tours don't venture to these places. Andre picked us up at our hotel on time on both days. We even switched around the running order of our tours keeping in mind the weather forecast. All we had to do after that was enjoy the ride with him. Andre was patient, cheerful, flexible and a storehouse of knowledge. We also enjoyed his company as we spoke about family, children, history, politics and food. Hi van was in top condition, comfortable and clean. Also, importantly he followed all Covid protocols seriously. Over the two days, Andre became like a good travel companion, sharing in our excitement. Having done these tours hundreds of times, he could so easily have been doing his bit mechanically. But not Andre. Above all, we found the prices for his tours extremely reasonable given that on both days we were out for 9-10 hours. On our next trip we will hopefully be able to do tours to other parts of Portugal with Andre, our new friend in Portugal.
