ISABEL, foi uma grande religiosa que sempre se dedicou à vida religiosa.Morreu muito cedo da peste e em grande sofrimento.
This Portuguese princess is recognized only as beata by the catholic church, nevertheless it is called Santa Joana Princesa. The firstborn daughter of King D. AFONSO and D. ISABEL, she was a great religious who always dedicated herself to the religious life. She died very early of the plague and in great suffering.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Estátua da Princesa Santa Joana foi criada pelo Artista Aveirense Hélder Bandarra em honra da Princesa Santa Joana estando situada em frente ao Museu que lhe é dedicado e em frente da Sé Catedral de Aveiro. Esta estátua veio substituir a que ali se encontrava anteriormente e que está agora junto da Igreja Matriz da Paróquia de Santa Joana. Esta Igreja está rodeada de um belo local ajardinado com árvores arbustos e bancos e alguns espaços infantis que fazem dele um lugar de lazer Familiar.
The Statue of Princess Santa Joana was created by Artist Aveirense Helder Bandarra in honor of Princess Santa Joana and is located in front of the Museum dedicated to her and in front of the Aveiro Cathedral. This statue has replaced the one that was previously there and is now next to the Parish Church of Santa Joana. This church is surrounded by a beautiful garden location with tree shrubs and benches and some children's spaces that make it a family friendly place.
