Casou com o rei D.Dinis com quem teve dois filhos.
Conhecida como muito piedosa, segundo a lenda terá saído do Castelo de Leiria para entrega de pão aos mais desfavorecidos,quando foi surpreendida por D.Dinis que terá perguntado o que levava no regaço..."Sao rosas senhor"!....ao exibir o conteúdo, em substituição dos pães estavam rosas !
Faleceu em Estremoz em 1336.
O túmulo da Rainha encontra-se actualmente no Convento de Santa Clara-a-Nova
Isabel was the daughter of King D. Pedro II of Aragon and Constance Princess of Sicily.
He married King D. Dinis with whom he had two children.
Known as very godly, according to legend, she left the Castle of Leiria to deliver bread to the most disadvantaged, when she was surprised by D. Dinis who asked what she carried in her lap ... "They are roses, sir!" .... when displaying the content, instead the breads were pink!
He died in Estremoz in 1336.
The Queen's tomb is currently in the Convent of Santa Clara-a-Nova
