★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The entrance area is wonderful and the restaurant was really good as well, both for breakfast and dinner.
Now the rooms. Cheap materials everywhere, miles away from 5 stars. We were staying at the owners suite where the toilet which is next to the bed didn’t have a door to close, a no go really when traveling with a date and when rooms are this small. The balcony is a huge red wall with low chairs blocking all views. Unfortunately really overpriced for what it is.
Sorry :(

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If Comporta is special, this hotel is even more! Best hotel in the sorroundings without a doubt. The architecture, decoration and landscaping are top. The breakfasts are amazing and although the prices are somewhat high the overall experience very much deserves it. The beach club is a must and while there, order a ‘Sangria branca’!!! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Checked in to this beautifully spread out over 17 acres little oasis not far away from Comporta. First evening dinner and service both night were lovely. We requested a shuttle to their beach club . Had lunch at the beach club which was as good as they come , one thing to be mindful of they don't accept room charges so bring your wallet . The hotel staff does not communicate that .
On our way out we had to wait for our outside for their “10 minute”shuttle 30 minutes. , at the end of our beach day we had to wait 53 minutes for a 8 minute drive . In both cases we have asked if we should take our car or on the way back yet they assured us that the shuttle was on its way there was just a lot of traffic - which somehow had disappeared by the time we were on the road. When we arrived back to the hotel quiet frustrated talked to the “ manager” MR Antonio Ferreira he listened calmly asked us if we were having dinner with them that evening and he would do something special to make up for the lack of communication through the day . Then he gas lighted us, neither that evening at dinner nor the next morning on checkout was there any mention of anything special to be done.. We had mentioned to him that this was just our second stop of many over three more weeks and his comeback ( after my wife confronted him about his offer from the evening before ) was a bottle of olive oil as if this was a thoughtful gift for someone traveling in suitcases , to schlep a large bottle of oil for rest of the journey .
The place needs some polish and training in managements understanding of how to treat clientele ,

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing hotel. The service is outstanding and everyone that says otherwise is crazy. The rooms are very comfortable. The food is outstanding as well, we ate at both the beach club as well as the main restaurant and both times the portions were big and the quality amazing. Yes, everything is pricey but it’s well worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow, just wow! From the amazingly beautiful setting, wonderful staff and overall outstanding quality, this is one of the best hotels I've been to.
The attention to detail is almost flawless.
Food was excellent, with some dishes outshining others.
Really liked trying the signature cocktails, the chilli breeze and the Portuguesa were the ones we enjoyed most.
Snacks were very good, everything with meat was top notch quality and the taste was amazing.
Cutlefish were not to our liking, and when we said this they prontly removed them and did not charge us.
Pasta was good as well, but completely outshined by the slow cooked Vitela with rice...sosososo goooood!!!
Desserts are diversified and really good, the only one I thought was below average was the apple one. Both the chocolate one and the citrus one were out of this world!
Great selection of wines.
Room was super comfy, good temperature controls, beware the fireplace, it is almost too good! Room got hot really quickly.
Outside jacuzzi is a delight, but it means we did not use the tub. Shower is spacious and water pressure is good.
Main balcony facing south, so you get most of the sun throughout the day, good for sun bathing and warming up the room naturally.
Spa is good, not really my thing, but appreciate it.
Gym...lol!
Almost 17ha to walk about or cycle through.
Outside fireplaces with couches looked really appealing, but we did not use them.
Pool was freezing! But it is December soooo...to be expected! Hence the trip to the spa which I would normally not go for!
Breakfast is super diverse, lots of quantity, just one thing that I did not enjoy, all "sweets", meaning pancake to traditional pastries, lack sugar. If you are making sweets don't cut the sugar!
Everything else was really good.
And the one thing that shines the most, the staff. From the reception, to the bar, room service, everyone is super friendly, helpful and polite.
Wish to visit again during another season, and definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to get pampered for a couple of days.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff was excellent: Simona, Carolina, Nicole, Alex, Daniel, Philip, Joao all helped make this experience wonderful. All the views around the property are phenomenal. The pine wood scent of the cabin, the well manicured sandy areas, and gardens/sculptures make this place a treat. The food is great, they even serve Pata Negra for breakfast. Without any natural 360 degree views of the ocean or the mountains they're still the best hotel in Portugal. That says a lot

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food, service, accommodations, amenities and atmosphere. Very natural setting in the Comporta region. Access to beach and beach club with great bar and restaurant. Nice pool, gym and tennis court. Great spa for massage. Kids program is not available during Covid. More of an adult retreat. An above average resort at an above average rate. But a must see and experience after over a year of non travel.
