K	Knut Birkevold on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice place for a quick bite and some drinks. The food was good and there was nothing wrong with the drinks. You can choose between sitting outside under the sky, or outside but with a roof to block out the sun. A really nice experience.

It did get busy (the whole area did) during the weekend so this will impact on the length of time you have to wait. But hey, you're on holiday so you should be relaxing and not clock watching anyway. We loved the fresh food and the staff were personal and friendly. It is family owned and this comes across in how the bar is run. A delightful spot.

However it is not acceptable that you ask (and pay) for a fresh natural orange juice and what you get is a concentrate juice in a glass full of ice, maybe mixed with a bit of natural juice. Perhaps people from abroad don't notice but for portuguese is quite clear, you should be ashamed of doing this.
E	Ewan Kennedy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool beach bar with friendly service. Wash down the garlic clams and prawns (see photo) with Super Bock after a long walk. We walked about 5km along the beach towards Praia do Barril (but didn't get that far) and back before getting the ferry back to Tavira town.
P	Paul Ratcliffe on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spend a lot of time at the beach on Tavira Island and have eaten at most of the restaurants several times. I was with my girlfriend and decided to try Sunshine Bar for lunch. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and my girlfriend ordered chicken piripiri. When our food was ready to be served, the plates were placed on the serving hatch and the chef rang the bell. After waiting a few more minutes none of the staff were going to collect our food so I went to collect it myself. To say the Caesar salad was small is an understatement, it was almost a side plate and I could see a lot of croutons but very few little chicken pieces. My girlfriend had a chicken piece that was had piripiri sauce sprinkled on it. This was not the quality of food we were used to from the other restaurants. I complained to the waiter and the owner but neither was interested or offered any solution. In fact, the owner just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. We will certainly never return until it changed hands - which probably won’t be too long!
