 Absolutely to be taken, truly unique. In the upper part there are also some very beautiful murals. Just buy the ticket first, it costs the same as a classic tram / metro / bus ride. € 1.40

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cette petite rue atypique en montée est très sympa à faire. Prenez le temps d'y aller, même si vous devez la remonter à pied ça vaut le coup (surtout si vous voulez faire de belles photos des cabines) . Le service de câble car reste ouvert assez tard mais pas toute la nuit donc ne traînez pas trop car ça a moins de charme si les wagons sont à l'arrêt. A faire de jour comme de nuit.
This unusual atypical street is very nice to do. Take the time to go, even if you have to walk up it is worth it (especially if you want to make beautiful pictures of the cabins). The cable service is open until late but not all night so do not drag too much because it has less charm if the cars are stopped. To do day and night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Romantik pur! Wir hatten die LisboaCard und konnte deshalb kostenfrei mitfahren. Sehr nostalgisch. Es ist sehr schön, dass die Bahn Instand gehalten wird.
Pure romance! We had the LisboaCard and therefore could travel for free. Very nostalgic. It is very nice that the track is maintained.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ THE tourist hot spot in Lisbon. I guess... Walk past the lift nearly everyday. Really crowded during the day. Lots of tourists want to ride it once. But the prices are not reasonable for just a few meters uphill. If you are a fan its ok. But I am totally annoyed by the drug dearlers offering their stuff there. On one evening four of them wanted to sell me something. Please do something about it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This gives quite the San Fransisco vibe. Not sure which was first. Now it’s a tourist attraction and it’s seems always to be quite busy over there. You can ride the tram but the ticket prices are priced as an attraction, not a tram.
