★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Knowledgable Porto locals who want amazing fresh fish skip higher-priced Matoshinos and head to small, quaint fishing village of Afurada about two miles down the Douro from the gaudy Gaia riverside area. Have been to this village few times but Taberna Sao Pedro is my favorite offering terrific, grilled fish at half the price of Matoshinos. Well worth the trip!
