Ótimo sítio para passar umas férias em família.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit. Vielen Dank an Sebastio, für seine freundlichen Rundtour im Tessla und auch sonstige Tipps wie das O Papparico in Porto oder der Supermarkt. Der Pool (mit Quellwasser gefüllt) war einfach Super! Alleine die Aussicht ist jeden Cent wert. Ich denke Bilder und Videos können mehr sagen als 1000 Worte. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Beautiful place, also great for large groups

A beautiful property - a former farm - with 4 houses, each with a private swimming pool and a stunning view. The houses are not too close to each other so everyone can enjoy their privacy. Everything is perfectly looked after by the host, Sebastiao, who speaks very good English and was always ready to give us advice for day trips in the region or things we asked for like a sun umbrella and a barbecue. Just after arrival he took us for a tour of the village in his car (Tesla, another new experience for us), showed us the best restaurants, bakery and went shopping with us in the supermarket (c. 6 kilometres away, you get everything there) where he recommended local products, which was very helpful. We have been to many accommodations in Portugal and Tapada de Sao Domingos was by far the most comfortable and most ecological one (pool water from a spring, solar electricity, a system of separating rubbish etc). The interior is a tasteful mix of old and new furniture. The only thing we did not like so much was that the two bathrooms in our house didn`t have windows and it was difficult to get fresh air in there. And be careful when you drive a big car - the gate and driveway are rather narrow. But there is plenty of space for parking. All in all we had a wonderful week at Tapada de Sao Domingos with relaxing days at the pool, trips to Porto (taxi is 20-22 Euros one way), the Douro valley and of course the wine cellars.
