Tapas No Bucho

Found it on google maps. Amazing location in a colourful street. Outdoor seating. Delicious food and friendly people. Reasonably priced. What else can you ask? Glad that we came here. Sad that we are in Lagoa only for 1 hour.

Having visited a Tapas restaurant 2 days prior which was excellent we were a little nervous we would be underwhelmed. We were compeltely wrong. Tapas no Bucho is an excellent place to spend an evening. We booked through Facebook and communication was excellent even when we were late. We sat outside in the street which was lovely on a perfect evening. The waiting staff were so friendly and helpful, talking us through the menu and keeping on top of us. We ordered 5 tapas dishes ranging from sardines to codfish, prawn gyozo to chocolate cake and don Rodroigo. Everything was perfect and so so tasty. Served quickly and accompanied with good and very cheap wine (2.5 eur for a glass). The atmosphere was excellent and we could have sat and eaten and chatted all night - our only complaint was we had to leave quickly! We spent around 60 eur which felt like good value for what we ate and drank. Overall thoroughly recommend!

Just perfect, simply perfect. Food, wine and service were excellent. If you are nearby you MUST have either lunch or dinner in this place

Great place, great food ,fantastic service, thoroughly enjoyed this Portuguese take on tapas, the goats cheese, honey and walnut pastry is immense!

This place was single-handedly the best meal I had in Portugal to date, and we plan to visit again. FOOD/WINE The menu came and we wanted to literally order everything on the menu. Thankfully, Nuno (more on him later) gave us some great recommendations. - WINE: We asked for a red wine without really looking. He brought us a fantastic wine that was lovely, well-valued and ensured we ordered a second glass. ​ -DISHES: We got many dishes (too many, but no regrets). All dishes were good, and some were phenomenal, so you won't go wrong. We had the Stuffed Mushrooms, Octopus Salad, Chicken Wings, Bucho Especial, and Taco de Vaca, shrimp dumplings. - Our Favorites: Taco de Vaca, Stuffed Mushroom, and Bucho Especial(GET THIS ONE). SERVICE/ATMOSPHERE (though Family would be better description) This place screams charm, homeyness and warmth. The decor is beautiful and layout is cozy but spacious enough to allow people to talk easily. - However the real star of the place is the family who runs it, Nuno (host), Daniela (Wife/Chef) and Olga (Matron/Chef/mother), and their father who is the subtle sommelier. The whole family came to say hi and welcome us, talk to us, and just feel like part of their family. It's 3rd generation place (Nuno's grandfather was baker, father was wine dealer, and he/wife are chefs/owners). At the end, Nuno even told us what wine we had and offered us card that allow us to know which vineyard it was and also gave us special treatment by mentioning his name at the tour of Quinta. Honestly, go here and you wont' be disappointed. WARNING: ONLY Is open Friday/Saturday for now and they are taking few weeks off from Jan 30/31 - Feb 14 I think but you can call and confirm.

Absolutely amazing place, the Madame who serves to us was lovely, she explained with detail every single dish, I really recommend the bolinhas but in general everything was delicious. Congrats to this amazing restaurant ?

Very nice food, fresh and well balanced, the woman who was taking care of us was very lovely, it's recommended to book.

So as I said in my previews review I was back !!!! Tapas no Bucho keeps to outdo itself! When I think I have seen it all, they surprise me again with a new delicious dish, a new detail!!! So again it was an amazing experience, delicious food, highly professional and very friendly staff. Not to forget their extreme concern to make us feel save during this difficult times. I absolutely recommend!!!
