Food is bad or was bad luck? The famous francesinha was the worst we tried. We had a friend from Porto with us and he said that it was his worst francesinha ever... Bread tasted bad and sauce was lacking flavours. The space decoration is very good but its not what keeps customer happy.

Always 5*. I go there at least a couple of times every year. It may not be the best francesinha (it isn't) but its damn close to that level of quality and the atmosphere and heart of this place is what sets it apart. It's Oporto's embassy in Lisbon and it's always a pleasure to return!!

Great environment. Well decorated and good staff. Food is OK, but doesn't have that wow factor, for the asking price. My "francesinha" was cold at the middle, but nice sauce, though.

After years of good food and excellent service, at this moment the new owner makes sure this is just another restaurant that serves bad francesinha and has a fast food restaurant environment. Our francesinhas were poorly served, almost no sausages inside, a very small beef and we had to beg for more sauce that took a long time to get to our table and has half the taste it used to have. Before this new management the restaurant servers were always playing around with the costumers, the service was fast and in the end the restaurant crew would come to our table and share a shot with us, now they are rushing all the time and have no chance to speak with the customers and make us feel welcome. Meanwhile the restaurant owner was just smoking and eating while his employees were working hard. Regarding the covid 19 regulations, the new restaurant owner was sitting in the table just next to us, was not reserving the safety distance, nobody was wearing masks when coming to the table from outside or from the toilet, and even thou everybody else was not being served alcoholic beverages (covid 19 rules: after 20h it's not allowed to sell alcoholic beverages) the restaurant owner and his friends were still getting loads of sangria. In the end, I asked for the red book to complain and the owner was super aggressive with me trying to make not to write in the complain book. I definitely don't recommend this restaurant with the current owner/management.

Pirate ship atmosphere and typical dishes, prices is honest. We had big francesinhas with spicy and non-spicy sauce, and traditional snacks as starters. No bad surprises, everything was pretty tasty. I also like how they promote sharing with common fries bowl and final toast. Overall, a very nice evening.

Good francesinha. Just a wee bit salty for my taste. Great fries and even better service
