★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional tiny restaurant still very authentic. Perfect for small Portuguese tapas and green wine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The price range is very affordable however the “tapas” are far from outstanding. Everything I tried was pre cooked even the fried stuff was cold already. It is not bad just not great. I guess it is mostly known for the names of the stuff on the menu which are unusual and funny but then even the service is just average

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a let down.
We went to this place because of its funny/naughty name and it actually looked like it could have nice food.
The waitress was nice although she was always talking with a bunch of innuendos which was funny at first but it got a bit boring right away, especially because I wasn’t sure if she was being serious or not.
We ordered a couple of entrees (typical Portuguese codfish patties) a salad and a meat dish. The salad and the meat came right away.
The meat was swimming in oil but it didn’t taste bad.
The salad was way too fancy for this place. It had the typical Portuguese mix salad (tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber and maybe onion) but they added olives, corn, slices of kiwi and bits of orange which had more skin than pulp. I guess you could enjoy it but it just seemed a weird mixture.
After about 45 min the two entrees were still missing and the waitress happened to be sitting just next to me so I asked her if there was something wrong. She again spoke in an innuendo and told me that it was coming right up. Both entrees are fried batter but sometimes they fried them in the morning and just serve it reheated when a costumer orders them. Since we had been waiting for so long I was expecting a fresh batch. But after another 15 min of waiting there comes two cold, old pieces of fried “pasteis de bacalhau”. I’ve eaten my fair share of this dishes to know when it’s fresh made and when it’s “from this morning” and let me tell you, what we were served was from the day before to say the least.
So, in the end I just felt robbed. I can understand that you might forget an item that is ordered. But not only did she not admitted that she had forgotten, she spoke to me like it was all going smoothly. Than it takes her another 15 minutes to bring us a cold piece of entree which had obviously been lying around since the day before. No apology no nothing.
This is the kind of contempt for your clients that make me never go back to a place and end up here writing this review.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a very good and generous chicken salad. The chorizo suited my husband but was a bit spicy for me. Interesting decor. But the loo is one floor down and there is no railing for the last few steps. Not good for older or less confident.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious traditional Portuguese tapas! An authentic taverna with lots of choices of food for a great price. We had the pork sandwich, a mixed salad and bacalhau. The best was being served a vinho verde in a traditional cup. So nice!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tipical restaurant that use ‘spicy’ plates names. The food is great, but is funny that food have all naughty names. Recommended.
