★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The paella and spaghetti tasted delicious. Very nice little restaurant and the owner is more than friendly. Lovely place, and the prices are also friendly. And a free glass of ginginja for desert. We love it!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got the paella mistake. They have a generic paella menu that you can find at other tourist restaurants and to be honest it packed flavor and the portion was on the smaller side. Maybe I haven't had enough paella. It tasted like a watered down arrow com mariscos but without the soupiness. The owner is a funny guy though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lastnight my husband and I had a fantastic evening at Taberna Alfachina. We did not have a reservation but Senior Costodio greeted us and seated us at a perfect table by the window. Costodio is friendly and knowledgeable. He speaks very little English but he made us feel at home. We have been going to Taberna Alfachina since 2017. The food is delicious, and you can’t go wrong with any menu options. We highly recommend this beautiful restaurant!

Mine (black paella) didn't come with half the things it said it would, so it was just about all rice with 4 small shrimp and 3 calamari rings. Cash only and they won't tell you up front. Pleasant enough to fill your belly but nothing special. I imagine there's better paella to be found in the surrounding area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited this place on Oct19 based on Google reviews. Place is small and warm and can seat only around 15 people. That makes you think food must be great and authentic to have a decent rating, but it wasn’t the case at all. We went there to try paella which was restaurant’s speciality and it was bland. Seafood paella had no seafood flavor and rice tasted exactly like rice in chicken paella. Reason most likely is using same chicken broth for all types of paella. No crunchy rice at all and texture was more close to fried rice than paella. After the disappointing food we were told they don’t take credit cards. Weird because he didn’t tell us in advance and it wasn’t stated anywhere in the restaurant as well. We ended up going to ATM to pay him. Owner was a humble and decent guy and he wanted us to enjoy the food, but chef was a big let down. Owner earned the second star, food hardly qualified for one
