We were served by a husband and wife duo, who I assume were the owners and they went were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and crafted with the utmost care, and we even had some lovely jam to accompany our cheese platter that was handcrafted by the owner's abuela. Best of all they had great local wines and the prices were very reasonable. Stay away from the tourist traps near the ferry terminal, this place is worth the ten minute walk!

Alexandra constantly came out of the kitchen to talk to her patrons. Along with the quaintness of the restaurant, it felt like we were over at a friends place for dinner. The other plus was that it was slightly away from the tourist strip near the pier. We would highly recommend a stop at this taverna while in Almada.

My wife and I took the ferry over from Lisbon and we found this wonderful place completely by accident, and it was the best dinner we had in Portugal. The chef (and owner) came to our table and helped us with our order (because we didn’t speak Portuguese) and she guided us to her favorite dishes, even though she said that “I cook everything and I think everything is delicious!” Definitely a high mark for authenticity, and the desert was the best Chocolate Mousse I’ve had in my life. I would HIGHLY recommend this place should you ever venture over to Cacilhas, just a short 4-5 min walk past the large cluster of restaurants as you exit the ferry. Thank you for the great experience! ❤️

It is hard to believe that Portuguese food is better anywhere. In addition there is the world's best waitress. Those who have lost faith in the good in the world will find it again with her. I have never left a restaurant with such a feeling. 5 stars are by far not enough.

Must try the Smoked Sirloin with quail eggs in the woven, the Sardines fillets...the soft cheese from Azeitão, well the ofer is endless. Alexandra the owner, she is a very good example of how to deliver great customer service in a very familiar and warm way, that makes you feel at home. The decoration is lovely also. Thank you!! We will repeat it for sure!
